Hi benny, any leads to a good retailer who sells these class 10 cards?
*
I buy the cards online from forum LOWYAT garage sales , plenty choices. Bought from several different chaps , no problems

Try to get a branded micro sdcard that have a lifetime warranty as you can get a replacement if corrupt later on.

M being poisoned too. Keep checking this forum. I intend to get 4 units of BB9900 (me n my fren) but then considering the spec of Notes against price it seems like bb is way over priced and low spec. And somemore avaiable next week.

The problem is we are working overseas, and my fren will be in JB n singapore between 4th-6th nov. Do u think its possible to get this Note by next week, even for AP set?

Its nothing to do with your memory card most of the time , its the ROM .... Some ROMS have some tweaks/scripts 2 make it faster in scanning your memory , both internal and external especially custom ROMS . Standard ROMS or even most custom ROMS normally wouldnt have such script . Below is 1 example used in O3D which speeds up memory scan by almost half

You need script manager.

If u have another(working) write

77sdcardspeedfix.sh - increase card read/write speeds.

Code:

#!/system/bin/sh
if [ -e /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb ]
then
/system/xbin/echo "2048" > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb;
fi;

#!/system/bin/sh
if [ -e /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:16/read_ahead_kb ]
then
/system/xbin/echo "2048" > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:16/read_ahead_kb;
fi;

#!/system/bin/sh
if [ -e /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/default/read_ahead_kb ]
then
/system/xbin/echo "2048" > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/default/read_ahead_kb;
fi;

Last time i bought Sandisk 16GB Class 4 - RM80 and Kingston 16GB Class 10 - RM150.
You mean loading and scanning your sdcard when you start/power on your phone.?
Yes it's normal. The more rubbish..err..things you put in your sdcard the longer time your phone scanning and loading it. Try not to power off your phone and the problem solve by itself.
