QUOTE(gfwong @ May 20 2013, 03:19 PM)
Hi all sifus,

I own an Alza since 2010 but never join this forum before. This is my first time. Lately I have been thinking to install Ultra racing lower side bar because I feel that Alza has a very long wheel base and when I drive uphill or down hill sometimes there is this "ngek...ngek sound". It's not coming from the absorbers though. So i suspect chassis flex. I have installed ultra racing front and rear lower strut bar since day 1. Anyone in this forum installed before???

I hv stopped visiting P2 SC last year after they knocked my car roof while lifting my car on their hoist. Dented, but I didn't notice until I drove home. I went back to SC and they said, "ini mungkin u kena dekat kedai tayar kat luar kut... susah mau cakap." Have been using Eneos engine oil and auto oil since then, noticed better FC.

Summary of my Alza changes:
1. UR front and lower strut
2. Iridium plugs
3. 4 Doors soundproof (done at SC)
4. Pivot VS (i think mine is fake)
5. DIY rear camera with LCD display on rearview mirror (bought from ebay).
6. HID (removed recently as takut kena tangkap)
7. Bosch activated carbon cabin filter

Nowadays I feel sorry as I have been neglecting my Alza since I got another new car last year...

I installed Front struct bar and rear lower bar after 11 months. no such ngek ngek sound .... yet sweat.gif

Guys what the maximum speed that you had done with alza before? I tried mine 180kmph on MEX

Mod on my daily driven alza:
1. Stiff ring - front and back
2. Pivot Megaraizin

that's all I done..

I am planning to install UR front strut and change my read ARB to 19mm.

The rest still stock.

Bro i kid you not, the sound is sufficient.
Please go test, if you do drop down to Klang / Setia Alam, i dun mind demo it to you.

Memang cukup, 2 would be crazy but i'm not known to be sane.  rclxub.gif

Dun take other brands bro like MTQ / MTX they are cheaper but quality according to my installer no good and will fluctuate.  blink.gif

Steelmate the installer him self use 3 over years oso still mantap and power.  smile.gif

hidup steel mate laugh.gif

Active sub can be as cheap as 420 including installation to 1k plus ( pioneer ) , but for us, steel mate is still the best choice, for the price and power we get

and like we always say, the only set back? takda remote control doh.gif

Other brands might have the same power too, the only diff is how long can it last , as in how long can it still deliver the same power as it was on day 1 thumbup.gif

Sony coaxial 1xx is a gud price including installation , but if possible for front get an alpine 2xx , and u will never never regret

more than enough for a simple upgrade .. or perhaps pioneer? shud be 1xx too...

And o ya, just to say , those looking for a simple sound proofing to reduce vibration of metal noise whenever your bass kick in, we have something simple for Myvi and Alza owner at only Rm 2xx for 4 dooors icon_rolleyes.gif

I just use a cup holder on the aircond side, small cup for McD.
Not suitable for Starbux Tumbler. If that is required ure side door there can put.

ABS better braking during the emergency. It saved me twice from whacking into another car when I was driving in the rain. Got for Premium if you can afford.

Stiff Ring total cost is RM420 but the effect is obvious than other mod - more steering response, quieter ride, much improved handling.

Pivot Megaraizin - brighter light, fuel saving, more quieter engine, responsive and smoother acceleration.

It's my daily driven car, confort is my first priority. Since I used it quite often for long distance drive, safety and handling came in second and last fuel saving.

My next upgrade might be Pipercross standard replacement filter and ultraracing front strut. Honestly, how effective is UR front strut? Anyone here can shed some light?

I am still using stock rim and tyres. My stock tyre is Silverstone. I found that after 23K on the road, silverstone tyre loosing grip and it's actually quite dangerous especially when the road is wet.

Twice experience with my alza emergency brake. ABS kick in. If no ABS would have skidded & sure bang the ass of front car.
It saved me, my family & insurance NCD.
