I've added insuflex, but not as good as I hoped for. So I would label it too pricey. Insuflex is the soft type, the hard type cancel off other noises that the soft material cannot. So unless you stick a lot of things onto your car, otherwise insuflex is just one part. But of course, having some is better than having none.

Tyres makes more differences, so that should be the first thing. Extra budgets can go to insuflex.

bro,

your new car how long driving? if just a few days better let your battery to charge full full before install this VS.

when this EDGE VS install, u may feel car under power.

1st. - your car still new, car it self not yet run in.
2nd. - alternator supplying current to VS

After few hours (3-5 hours) drive then it will become better. Fyi, good for this VS to run in during higher RPM range brows.gif

Then stay tune until 30 hours/ 50 hours laugh.gif

insulflex covers the whole door panel. pretty easy to DIY. If tampal directly to the aluminum door like urs, the result should be better because vibration on door cancel direct by pad upon wave/frequency impact.

alza door like that meh?

the insuflex is tampal on the panel? u mean the whole behind plastic panel?

The pix is sample.. I cld not find just now.. this is the alza one.user posted image

I tampal just like the pix, the 'outer' layer. each door abt 13-15 pads (mixture of 2 types of pads).
I got it direct from the boss of supplier. I purchased from him since years ago for my previous cars. Kembara, Stream and this Alza.

Cost me around RM300, then I get extra for the roof last year.

After 9 months i noticed there is wind sound from the driver side door.. and it is the weather strip near the side mirror. I think the rubber shrinked a bit after parking under the sun. I put bitumen to cover the gap.

I know some of you have the suspension knocking sound when going thru bumps.. only certain time it occurred. P2 ppl test, said nothing. They just tightened everything up. Ended up I dont care as it is not everytime and most important that the suspension works as it supposed to.

Huh? This is totally different from mine. Those looks like non-slip mats.
My insuflex looks like this >> picture attached.
One side smooth, one side pores. At least 1/2 inch thick, or maybe 1cm... can't remember.

not really effective because wave/sound is not absorb directly. preferred aaron's sound proof method. just like the one perodua stick on the front bonnet. but now, they dont do liddat anymore.

then you put the insulflex to cover the big hole. sure the outcome will be more significant.

Added on September 26, 2012, 7:24 pmmetal will vibrate the external sound therefore enhance it. if car door made of wood, sure kuayet one. hahahaha

Well, that's what I replied, not really effective. You need to combine the soft and hard type together, which burdens the car with dead weight. Anyway, add turbo then you'll forget about other things.

Ya.. it is abt 1 cm thick... saw that before and used it before in my much previous cars. Outcome so-so.
From inside, the plastic panel feels more solid when u knock it.

That is why I used this pads since my previous cars. After put this pads, when I knock on the door panel from outside, no more 'Milo' tin sound. Also big different when we close the rear door. Last time feels like the door gonna pecah and break into pieces. Now no more 'pllllank plannk' sound.

My friend also surprised when closing the door last time, saying that 'ya.. can expect much from 50+k car'.
After install, he is really surprised !!

The EDGE for sure works. Higher level or full run in will be more significant.

Last night I test drive a doctor's Alza premium auto. With EDGE entry level VS + Add on ( more than 150 hours run in ) .. oh my = =" pedal really light and very responsive.

His Alza complete with Edge VS, Positive Cable, GC.

Nope. The reason.

The positive cable like what I'm using is RM140 300AMP come with voltmeter as well.
BUT : The positive cable not easy to install for some car model .. one of it is Alza. Need to lift up .. so can't DIY. If you need to claim something and avoid bising bising by SC .. then you have to remove it and not easy as install.. need lift up again.

For the GC, some user already got own GC. Or specially custom make. So not suitable to package it together.

For those car battery more than 6 months will recommend this positive cable when using EDGE VS. Because they is a process EDGE VS will repair the battery while run in. If any of u know the actual process of repairing car battery they are discharge and charge repeat step. So you will facing the same battery weak may be can't start. Just jump start it, charge it by drive for 30 min. It will be good. This scenario can be reduce by adding positive cable laugh.gif

So in short for my case, since my problematic piece of junk needs to go in and out of P2 SC regularly, positive cable is not recommended. And since no positive cable, I will have to wait until my current battery dies off, then only install the VS on a new battery... Right...?
