So my bumper stickers should say, if you want to eat big black donut, you best come closer?
My spare tyre fell off on the road while driving, killing lots of innocent life. It was a terrible freak accident. |

QUOTE(kalvinwee @ May 22 2012, 11:15 PM) i read from LYN and MAOC, so far got 2 incidents oledi, spare tyre fell off.maybe got more cases like this but un-reported. also read in newspapers and forum there are more alza caught fire than spare tyre falling off. but we do not know what the owner had changed or modified for those "alza terbakar" incidents. actually since I took my alza 3 mths ago, till now never remove the spare tyre. maybe wkend need to remove and check see if it was properly tighten before roll out from the factory. |

It is not that the nut of the spare tyre is loose. I'm sure they fix it with a handgun instead of using wrench. It is the other end of the bar, that hooks to your car. That bar is not strong enough. They modified mine with a bigger diameter bar. But I cannot continue driving this car and not remember all those lives.. goooooooooooone

QUOTE(Eithanius @ May 24 2012, 01:18 AM) 11. Whack some Insulflex material between the plastic cover and the metal on the b-pillar... You mean the lower cover or upper cover? In fact I took out both cover and the metal tick tick sound is still there.. Suspect the lock rod in the rear door... 12. I'm still dealing with mine. And I just notice another "ngek ngek" sound coming from the dashboard. Dunno which component is loose now, and dunno will jeopardised the safety of the car or not... Mine too. The rattling sound seems sometimes from inner dashboard, sometimes from glove box area... Headache la! |

QUOTE(n8210 @ May 24 2012, 12:24 PM) Ha ha..So far the problems are - rattling sound at both pillars (metal ticking sound) - rattling sound at dashboard (sounds like plastic or clips are vibrating) - rattling sound at back(trunk) door (metal sound) - stiff door handles for some of front and back door (others seem ok) - after parking the car for sometime, when start moving got a 'spring' sound, not sure from under carriage or steering. haiyo, new car why so many problems one. anyone who can share the solutions? Better DIY because SC also agak agak only. |

Added on May 25, 2012, 5:32 pmso far my 3 mths old alza got these problems 1. rattling sound at right B pillar only, left side none (metal ticking sound) * still unsolve, lazy to open up the plastic panel 2. rattling sound at dashboard (sounds like plastic or clips are vibrating) * 2 days ago i tried adjust the steering rack height. notice the dashboard sound is totally gone now. note: i push the adjustment lever up as tight as possible. 3. going over bump got ngek-ngek sound, dunno coming from rear or front suspension * this ngek-ngek sound appeared during 1st week of owning the car but after installing the rear spring buffer I don' t here it anymore. dunno coincidence or something else.
