driven for 5mins.. and I dont like it.

The seats too high.
Foot parking brake? not my cup of tea.
The A pillar is limiting my field of view
The tachometer is too far front of the dash. Too small digital display!
The dash center is oddly designed to be 'bumped' up in the middle. WTH is that?
Door doesnt close with one normal push. You NEED to slam it to close it.
If the front passenger seat pulled backward fully, good luck to the rear passenger getting in and out. I stuck my foot in between the front seat and the rear seat!
Car is high. Too high. Need to lower it.

yeah the sit too high. last month i drove about 1500km central-north-south-central. very tiring driving alza and made my spine feel 'sengal'. the only thing i like is the car can achieve 170kmh and good fc. and what i most hate is the center console. i have no idea if TS say alza has better interior than exora.

I have been driving an Alza for 6 months and I would say it's a great car for the price. Let's not talk AP and all that here, but looking at current market conditions, it's the cheapest MPV for 60k plus budget.

At the same time, lets be realistic. It's not BMW quality and let's not compare Exora which is 80k (1/3 more expensive).

If you are looking for a decent ride with about 5 in a family, occasionally carrying 6-7, this is a good car. 6-7 is the max it can carry with no extra space for luggage. It's no Estima or Alphard.

Maintenance wise, it's cheap and the quality is ok.

End of the day, do test drive it yourself and you decide the pros and cons. Exora in all aspects have better specs, but don't forget it costs 20k more. I would rather put 20k downpayment, loan 40k and pay off in 5 years.

Agree. Alza design and the outlook is better and it looks sporty unlike exora which looks awkward and bulky. I think all similar category of this kind MPV also cannot carry luggage when u want to carry 7 passengers. Perodua quality is always better than proton including their after sale service as well as their maintenance service centre. Exora spare parts is very expensive also and they don't last long.

I can say the only advantage of exora is its bigger size end up FC also higher.

Buy a second hand Grand Livina. smile.gif Put the savings onto a bank account to pay for things that need to be fixed. Or any other car you like and that has poor resale value. Get it second hand, profit from the poor resale value. Also think this: If the price you paid for the car is low, how much lower can it get? You won't loose much when selling it. Just make sure it's in good condition (ask service center for service history, get an expert to check the car, etc.) and that it's not very old (max. 3-5 years?). So don't think of BMW, Mercedes, perhaps Audi, VW, ... look for off brands. Unpopular ones.

What do you need a bigger car for?

@SKfolk: The Exora is safer. Big plus.

I dont think exora is safe. Hilux is safe. I won't get 2nd hand cars as you may get flooded/tsunami cars. Everywhere is flooded in Malaysia and also outside Malaysia. Ppl want to sell their flood damaged cars ASAP.

Hilux and safe? http://paultan.org/2008/02/29/shocking-eur...ck-crash-tests/ Pick up trucks tend to be rather dangerous, not only to others.

Is there no way to check if the car has been in a tsunami/floods?

Not recommend to do it if plan to DIY ..

I regret because really hard to remove it .. thay cover/ stick full roof with those easy burning mix sponge.

Welcome, btw .. M2 version still available for new purchase ??? blink.gif

Using BOSH Iridium Platinum plug now, so far so good. Best part is I got it RM120 with group buy. Can last up to 100,000KM usage.

Tapping problem?? You mean air cond kick in ?

my unit just started to have "knocking" sound while air cond fan running .. sometime.

and the noise hardly noticeable, unless purposely stand by outside driver side and listen near to engine area.

will try contact with SC these few day.

for the record, Perodua never manage to find any solution for that tapping noise... and since I soundproof that damn piece of junk, the noise is less intrusive...

Finally, DIY installed the rear spring buffer yesterday.
Manage to push them in without removing the rear tyres, just jack up the car only.

Tested, didn't really feel much difference leh.
But mostly town driving only. Think must take it to highway or find some rough road to feel the difference.
Or perhaps need to install the front to really feel the difference.

Here are the sizes I am using.
C - for Alza rear
D - for Alza front, smaller than C

pics taken at nite with flash, very blur.
