Exactly what I thought after seeing that.
Everything else is very okay,but then the both of the person are like two
mannequin set up for a clothes display.
And the girls face,I sense error.
Nvm,me too,have problem with facial expression.

color scheme are quite nice though..but..i don really like ur color on the face. it looks very "dead"..and also the eyes..kinda flat too..more details can be added though..

also,why not make two of them have an eye contact?lol

The skin tone is what the commissioner requested though I got tricked in the end.

I initially intended to fix this, but lost interest as the commissioner bailed out didn't have the mood to polish it more.

nice try .. tho i think the one that make it weird are the eyes and nose.. the guy's ear is still a little too close to the jaw as well.

Okay here we go,both have no problem in anatomy or physical problem.Great pose and all.
But let's see on the coloring side,the first one is an example of an elementary school students's work,
done sloppily without caring the border between each area.
The second one is also poorly colored.
I actually feel you man,I hate coloring too.

but the thing is, I DELIBERATELY do them this way... hehehe...
I want to achieve that 'canvas painting' look on the first one, and 'COPIC marker' look on the second... I admit, both are sloppy jobs...
and yeah I hate to do coloring, but I am really jealous of artists who can do it amazingly. Some I find not too good with anatomy/pose, but with superb pshop coloring, all the weaknesses, gone...
so I'm trying to start on coloring my work, but I at times I cant find the time/patience... sigh...

Yeah, I was around 80% when I try to contact him/her and asked for the payment, but s/he deleted his account and went missing.

Just a simple layer setting/filter does not make a good effect you're trying to achieve here, this is just a simple tweak and you will never get whatever the feel you want.
You gotta start with the brushes and the strokes, not by ends meet with a simple solution.

Forget about all those cheap effect and focus on doing more sketches. Invest you're time more with sketching than coloring or some of those effect you're looking for.
Gotta crawl first before you run mate.

whoa, thanks for the nice advice! i know i know, need to crawl first... these three artwork is just some tryouts, I've never use pshop to color my art before... these were just some rough stuff and quick work... I'm learning... anyway, had some idea where can I find good tutorials?
