Okay here we go,both have no problem in anatomy or physical problem.Great pose and all.
But let's see on the coloring side,the first one is an example of an elementary school students's work,
done sloppily without caring the border between each area.
The second one is also poorly colored.
I actually feel you man,I hate coloring too.

Yeah, I was around 80% when I try to contact him/her and asked for the payment, but s/he deleted his account and went missing.
Just a simple layer setting/filter does not make a good effect you're trying to achieve here, this is just a simple tweak and you will never get whatever the feel you want.
You gotta start with the brushes and the strokes, not by ends meet with a simple solution.

Forget about all those cheap effect and focus on doing more sketches. Invest you're time more with sketching than coloring or some of those effect you're looking for.
Gotta crawl first before you run mate.

Canvas painting?
