get a real pose-able figure that can bend a lot angle instead this wood figure. this wood figure can bend 90 degree since got 1 ball joint.
i was "tricked" that time...that time my dad call me wan to buy or not that wooden figure and since i've saw this in newspaper of the ikea ads...then i just say yes and thought it is more posable than gundam...who knows...

real job not really matter one la, if you interesting in drawing and become a maniac of drawing sure will improve one.
i have saw one engineer in jap, his drawing/painting level can compare to the one students.

quite fun to redraw in other style as long as you get the "trademark" of the character

why not draw more detail?
and you learned photography right?

try copy some manga character first then you will figure out how to draw the hair's flow

easiest way: study the manga you read daily

or no need anime style also can, using western comic style also same one, since you said hair.
basically the theory of the hair pretty much same. unless you go draw power puff girls, dragon ball, pokemon those hair style

and if the tablet is too hard for you, try use back pencil first. it is easier.
once you can draw well in traditional stuff, the digital will pretty much fast to learn to master it , i mean pen stroke.

1) smart move to separate the people and background with the bolder line.
2) hair is like err...get a wig then try cover your face see can breath or not (can be more perfect)
3) background i no comment since i cant see well lol
4) other side pretty okay, almost okay. can be better

not have really critical error there, except the hair.

yes you need learn controling stroke, or you zoom out the picture to smaller size so you no need swing your hand a lot to draw a longer stroke XD

who here use a non-wacom tablet over for 5 years plus and still working now?

i suspect either you are slightly red/green colour blind or your monitor got problem
do you check your colouring in ohter device like other PC, laptop or any phone?

usually newbie on colouring skin tone is more on brown, yellow , orange or red. i first time see green.

edit: it really is yellow, but is lemon yellow, not the yellow i mentioned XD the yellow i mentioned is simpson's skin tone.

actually the "ideal" skin tone is almost white, then ya, play with darker tone.
because mid tone if i use yellowish white, but darker tone i put blue, people will think it is blue skin XD

OT: sometimes i not really like anime character all wear tudung because later they sure looks same XDDD
unless you put detail on facial XD
if not usually we differentiate the character by hair style.
