Tech spec stated 8ms, and its an IPS, and has 0.6ms input lag?
Personally never try before but 0.6ms is way too low already.
Evo monitor the Asus VH236H suppose to has the lowest input lag, but also no where near 1ms.
Arguably 2nd best monitor Alienware AW2210, which also no where near 1ms.
Be bare in mind both of them has 2ms respond time written in their tech spec.
And both of them are TN as well, which are supposed to have even lower input lag when comparing with IPS.
Personally not going to buy that point until I've personally tried it.

If EVO2k uses them, why not give it a try? :sweat

But during WCG2k11 in Malaysia, they uses some Samsung 2ms monitor, which looks silky smooth for SC2, where as my 5MS AOC has some jerk lag on the movement.

depends on quality, those WCG2k11, Samsung confirm use top high quality monitor which handpicked, because thousands will be looking at it all the time.

The most easiest part to notice is price tag between these two monitor.

Btw, for everyone here : If you're looking for a review of monitor, and wanted to know which are good to buy.

Need opinion on the LG M2341A 23" Full HD LCD TV Monitor.

http://www.lg.com/th/it-products/computer-...r/LG-M2341A.jsp

I use to 24" DELL Ultrasharp monitor for my office work which heavily use the Ms Excel spreadsheet. Plan to utilize its Full HD resolution 1920x1080 for my work, TV function & USB media player for Full HD movie as additional add-on values.

Kindly please advise.

VH236H not available in Malaysia, according to some Asus LCD seller I pm'ed.
AW2210 already phased out and replaced with AW2310.
So I couldn't do much also liao.
Samsung... I'll pass.
Reason? Call me a jerk but I don't really like Samsung, regardless of their quality and whatsoever.

Comparing Dell Professional P2312H and Dell ST2320L, is there any different in performance? Their specs look similar... hmm.gif

Added on November 25, 2011, 1:57 pmBy the way, how accurate is the delivery date that notified by Dell via SMS?
Possible they delay the date later?
Planning to take one day leave for it...

From my POV, they're both using the same panel but the professional series gives much "professional" looks to it, the appearance is simple, matte black, no fancy frame, and it provides adjustable stand.
Delivery date by Dell is estimated, you don't 100% trust due to unforeseen circumstances, unless you can take a day off with a day notice, Dell usually call you 1 day before they deliver and confirm your address and etc.
Actually you can ask them to send to your workplace, of course you need to be there to sign and receive the goods (and then show off to your colleague tongue.gif ).

Depends on the games that you play and how you play them.
Only hardcore FPS and Action alike genre will feel the 8ms slowness, other than that 8ms is fine for most games.

If you're serious about FPS and Super-High-Pace genre then get 120Hz monitor, double refresh rate will definitely able to utilize the 2ms pixel response time.

8ms might suffer ghost effect which are unsuitable for gaming. but like wildwestgoh said, only those hardcore will notice them.

the most important are input lag.

Btw, just a friendly reminder to everyone.

120hz Monitor with 2ms refresh rate is not going to help you get smoother graphic, if you're using outdated graphic card which only supports most game about 20~40 FPS.
Using these monitor will not grant you to have smooth like butter graphic performance, unless your graphic card can handle games up to 120fps in order to fully utilize 120hz monitor.

Nice, the 120Hz monitor does makes a difference. The graphics are smooth especially if you can get consistent 100++FPS
