for me it come down to some of our fans really..remember the banner " come back when u won 18th ".So when they really did won the 18th and 19th of course they will come and troll.that's just natural.

its down to the fans mentality.Some are good and some are just "di*ks" and both side have the equal amount of those fans

Edited: Moral of the story, don't judge a certain set of fans just because their team is at the top at the moment. No one is immune to ARROGANCE when their team is at the top of the game. The difference is that there are no internet in the 70's and 80's.

but its the man utd fans(and anythg related, threads, friends(clueless)) that are bad. Duke sure does like them high places.

Starting Carroll would be playing right into their hands. The shortest dude they have at the back is Jonathan Woodgate and he's 6 foot tall. What the hell is Robert Huth doing at rightback? Not the most adventurous of fullbacks. We'll be faced with a defensive wall and if the recent past is anything to go by, we'll struggle to break them down. Then again, we do now have a little pocket miracle in Luis Suarez.

I pay no attention to trollers. I'm more interested in engaging fans who have sense, a little knowledge and can put forth a proper argument. For those that can't, it's an annoyance akin to having fly's hover around your face. Like I said, it's the gloating I cannot take. My manc friends who have been friends for years don't gloat as much. It's the newer bandwagon jumpers who support the team because they are winning. Just reading one liners like "we are the best", "our third team can take on half the Premiership sides", makes me sick. Arrogance is best sold with a touch of humour, tongue in cheek. Pity this lot have zero humour and are just plain, arrogant.

If you read what I said, you'll note that I mentioned arrogance is something I personally do not subscribe to. If you want to big yourself up all the time, that's your prerogative but I don't have to agree.

As for your second point that we have fans who post random one liners as well, I agree. Again, you'll note that I argue with them as well. Also, I stress time and time again the importance of reading up about the club so that when you make a claim, you have some credibility. No, I'm not biased against mancs alone, I'm biased against less than informed fans in general who try to pick a fight and it's my right to do so. I don't have to conform to society and sugar coat every thought for people who can't handle the truth. I've met some really dedicated fans who I aspire to be like but I've also met some who don't aspire to be any better. Yes, everyone likes to gloat every now and then but when you see a full page telling everyone how big your pecker is compared to everyone else, you can't help but take notice.

Lastly if I'm to be technical, saying my midfield is the best is hardly the same as saying my team pawns yours. Being confident in your own ability is not the same as telling someone you're better than them.

Why not start both Carroll and Suarez? I think this combination should be given more games to flourish. Bellamy could come on with 20minutes remaining (when all their giant defenders has gotten tired) to run at their defenders.

Only games can help Andy regain his confidence to get on the score sheets regularly. And this doesnt come by warming the bench.

Confidence is good but over-analyse or in simpler terms bigging up yourself is more precise, I'd say. In this case, I would say that article and some of your lots are practically much the same annoying bunch.

I would still say United's midfield is no good/better than Arsenal's(when they had Fabregas and Nasri).

There's confidence and there's talking shit. Until it is proven, well, that's when you can gloat around. Otherwise, it's better to mum things to yourselves. Simple, really.

I personally do not believe in gloating even if you beat someone. Like I said in a previous post, the only thing worse than a bad loser is a bad winner. Do Liverpool fans also gloat? Yes but it doesn't mean I agree with them. i don't think anyone would disagree when I say I've never ever posted claiming that we are the best. Even when I big up Liverpool fans, it's those whose stories I read about who I admire. I don't claim to be the best because I know I'm not the best.

Before you continue to go thinking I'm being biased do note that in the past I've chastised our own fans for claiming to be "the best fans in the world", I've criticised our own for nonsensical one-liners and I keep telling everyone to refrain from gloating about a win over a rival on their thread. I'm sure I'm not well liked by everyone in our own thread either but the thing is, I don't care. I call it like I see it and if they can't handle it, that's their problem, not mine.

In truth, they probably will. The fact that they fielded a team whose average age was 23, and they beat a "top four side" proves that they will be a dominant force for years to come unfortunately. However, this just means that we have to be better and we're heading in the right direction off and on the field.
