Yes...even large American or European multinationals would be good. Eg Dell, HP, IBM, Oracle, SAP etc.

Not guaranteed but then even if they dont second or transfer u, easier to network with the oz managers n land yrself a job after getting yr pr.

Yea, so currently I can only try to get as much experience as possible. If let say my girlfrien able to get a job there. Would it be easy for me to immigrate to Australia? Or must be in "married" status?

Seems you're so confident you and your girlfriend would be married. Good!

Your girlfriend found a job doesn't mean you'll be granted a visa. Few scenarios below:-

1) Not married status: Once she found a job, she need to have working visa 457. After 2 years, she'll then only eligible for PR application. That's another 1/2 yr or so. Once get it, you need to file in yourself as de-facto/partner visa. Why? coz both of you has yet married at that time. De-facto visa will only get approved if you can prove both of your relationship. Photos, love letter, email....etc. After submission need 1 more year. Total years maybe already 4-5yrs.

2) Married status: Easy! if you both married, your wife found a job then you could get a family visa accompanied with your wife. However take another one year or more to approve. Not too sure whether you could work or not. That's another story

There's too many fraud case floating around here with fraud marriage so the immigration is very strict to spouse or defacto visa.

My friend faced a very hard time when his wife working here while he's waiting for his visa for almost 2 years. Think wisely.

As conclusion, better off you get married, apply PR. That's the simplest you could get. Unless you're super rich, you could 'BUY' PR status with AUD1.50mil invest here. If i have those kinda money, i won't be here. shakehead.gif

1) With 457 Temp. Work Visa , is not an auto upgrade to a PR after 2 years of employment . You will still need your employer to sponsor you as a Permanent Employer , which i find many company is not willing to commit into this unless one is very talented and valuable to the employer - They would rather keep you in Temp. Work Visa as long as they could to reduce their commitment and the hassle through immigration.

If employer is happy to do it , there are two paths for it - Direct Sponsor or Nominated (ENS with CSOL skillset)

Employer ( Direct Sponsor) requirements

Typical criteria includes that the employer must:
- be actively operating a lawful business in Australia
- demonstrate a genuine need for a paid, skilled employee to fill a position in their business, comply with all relevant Australian laws and demonstrate a satisfactory record of meeting immigration laws (if applicable)
- demonstrate a commitment to training Australian citizens or residents in their business
- be able and willing to provide the employee with an offer of permanent employment

Nominated position requirements

- be a full-time position which is available for at least two years from the date of grant of permanent residence,
- provide working conditions which are equal to those provided for under the relevant Australian legislation and awards,
- be at market salary rates for the nominated occupation
- If direct entry application, be a highly skilled occupation which is listed on the Consolidated Skilled Occupation List (CSOL).

For Defactor Visa , it required heaps of documents with evidence of living together as a committed partner for 12 months without being married. Live together , get a mortgage together , repaying the mortgage together , have a Will to each other name and so on.

2) If married first and get a PR after it , both will have working rights and yeah this is the best way !!

My opinion is not to rely much on Visa 457 , its better to obtain a skillset which is in the SOL or CSOL at least. With this , you can apply independently without much restriction and not relying on your employer and the SOL actually reflects the skill shortage in Oz which you could land a good paying job easily.

The real challenge is getting is actually decent pay job more then getting a Visa.

Hope it give you a better picture. smile.gif smile.gif

LOL, million. I wish could have that in my current age.
Haha, plan always sound great. I can't predict the future but yea it's my plan to marry with my current girlfriend. I am not sure about playboy but getting a girlfriend is usually for the final goal of marry isn't it? I don't think spending time and money on someone you don't wish to marry with her is good idea unless "special" interest or reason LOL.

Even they have married still need to wait for 2 years in order to get the visa? Oh my god, sound really bad.

That's what you think on your side, but is that what she thinks?

Not trying to judge, or to flame you or what or badmouth your girlfriend here, but please don't forget about this point.

Coz you're the bf, you know what she thinks best.

To be honest with you, I feel where I studied didn't really make a difference to me lol.

I'd probably be the same now even if I came out of Caltech, albeit with more bragging rights laugh.gif
