When I open it, the gear is still rotate but the drive hardly want to comes out even after i put some grease.

I't possible to change the drive? I did ask one shop in seremban, they said can not. Maybe I need to sent it to KL. By the way, where is Djinn shop?

I didnt touch my fat PS2 for so long......now using my slim PS2......but i accounter some problem with my fat one.........some CDs cannot play games......always error accur........izzit the lens prob or the DVd games prob?

if ur favourite games suddenly cannot play....the lense might be the culprit

yes Djinn, i have eject problem with with playstation 2 fat version.

i have a problem with my controllers..
Both are original.
First..my player 2 controller was not responding..couldn't receive the 'triangle' and the R1 button..
one month later. my player 1 controller direction button was all screwed up too. all seem to be autopressing at some point and no responding at times.
another thing is that there is some cracks inside it if i'm not mistaken..cause when i shake it..i can hear rattling. and my R2 and L2 button get stuck by it.
Something is wrong with it.
Has anyone come across with this problem?
Can somebody help me with it..
Shall I open it up and repair it or send it for repair or shall i just get a new one.

haiya, been saying many times about this, ps2 fat got hdd, but you need to buy it. it's separate device.

recently, my ps2 got problem.It will hang while booting a game or sometime hang while in game..Anybody know why?It happened after i moded it.my ps2 is a japan version..

slim n fat are both the same..u want cheap games?put modchip into it and voila,u can play "tiga sepuluh" dvd-games...it's expensive becos u didnt mod it n u buy original games

i think u shud buy a new one..ori controller frm djinn is rm65,the cheapest i've heard

sometimes,it's becos of the game DVDs becos pirates uses cheap quality ones(i think its read speed is 1x only)..but if most of ur cd cant play,im thinking of:

a)ur lense is dying
b)ur lense need re alignment
c)ur modchip is dying or is not soldered properly

ps:ive been experiencing the same problem like u last year too..n the magic word is: djinn...

Since all of my games are ori one, only got 1 pirate for testing purpose ..n most of them stuck! , so i think the prob maybe one of those 3..

i wanna ask, sometimes when the ps2 is loading got some high pitch sound, but not loud la, normally afternoon play won't hear but night time when tv volume go down can hear.

anything dying or anything need grease?

hi, i have problems loading saved game with my PS2, but only specific one game, it's FFX.

i stopped playing this game for quite some time already, and now i wan to continue to play it back, but i have problem to load the game, i can go to the splash screen, and the page where the game ask me to start a new game or continue, but it just very hard for me to go into the game, it hang everytime i try to load the saved game. i tried many time already, and sometime by very low chance that i can pass the loading part and continue into the game, but then if i go to another map, then it will hang again...

may i know what happen to my PS2? i have no problems playing other game, MGS3, kingdom heart 2 and etc...
