i usually just set my timer from 12 - 8:30pm

if u have 2 tube or more, then can set them to on one by one...

if ur light is high power or too bright, sudden on-off will cause stress to ur fish/shrimp icon_rolleyes.gif

tank update 8/11, waiting for my DIY ECA from taiwan to boost hair grass growth...heheee

yupe, ECA - Efficient Complex Acid, iron is part of it

as per product description on ADA ECA :
QUOTE
ECA is a liquid additive for planted aquariums, containing natural organic acid and iron in a liquid form that is absorbed easily by aquatic plants. Organic acid enhances bacterial activity and the growth of plants, and therefore improves overall conditions in the aquarium.
Iron helps plants in the formation of essential pigments for photosynthesis such as Chlorophyll. It prevents problems such as whitening of new buds, and waning of leaf color. It also helps to stimulate the development of new buds by activating various enzymes for the metabolism in aquatic plants.

i am using seachem iron d, but since many have great result with eca and it don't really serve as fert but rather an additive, so gonna try out this DIY eca from other forum biggrin.gif will keep u guys updated

ADA eca too exp.. lolx

Ludwigia repens is a familiar and very beautiful aquarium plant. It generally makes few demands and grows fast, but the red colour is more intense if the light is good. When pruned it develops countless side shoots and becomes more bushy. Suitable as an intermediate or background plant, and most effective when planted in groups.

Family Onagraceae

Continent North America

CO2 Requirements: Low

Height 30-50 cm

Width 5-8 cm

Light requirements: medium-very high

Temperature 19-29 °C

Hardness tolerance: very soft-hard

pH tolerance: 5,5-8

Growth: fast

Plant Type: Stem

Demands: easy
