Somebody pls help...Got my Co2 indicator this afternoon, did my 1st check tonight, it turn yellowish rapidly during the first Co2 checker drop even i switch off my Co2, then I put the indicator into pail filled with tap water, the problem is, the indicator remain yellow in color after 1 hour inside the pail, is that normal? or the chemical is expired, or it may need a few hours to get color change? TQ

if its totally new tank, it will need 3 weeks and above, to be safe

adding mature water or filter media from other tank will help

test ur PH and GH too if u really wanna set up a shrimp tank smile.gif

p/s: jsut wondering do we need a separate topic for fresh water shrimp such as neocaridina ? ..hehee

thanks smile.gif Neocaridina is easier to take care than CRS right? Is that a cherry shrimp?

put few drops of tap water on white cardboard.
directly put 1 drop of co2 indicator into tap water. observe what color it is.

ram snail will reproduce by itself.. so one day ur tank will explode with snail if u didnt control them smile.gif

for those who wanna keep snail, should try nerite snail, their egg won't hatch in fresh water.. at least u got their population under control  icon_rolleyes.gif

zebra and horned are actually a species of nerite snail smile.gif their egg will not hatch in fresh water, unlike normal snail... thus won't take over ur tank from ur fish or shrimp tongue.gif

Yes bro Weijie, did that way, but i'm using wife's cup instead of white cardpboard...its yellow-green with water from aquarium tank, green-blue with tap water, looks the tester chemical is doing fine, my concern is, why the indicator doesn't change in color after i put it into mop pail filled with tap water

Weijie, do u have Amazonia 9L powder type in stock? PM me the price
