did mine with clorox for about 10 mins. Then rinse it throughly and put it back into the tank. But bubles still same, big bubbles, unlike when new...

Need to soak longer? or more concentrated without adding water...

No need to mix with water at all, just put a few drops of concentrated clorox over the white disc area.

If it still doesn't work, drastic measures would be to get a syringe and pump clorox through the white disc via the co2 tube... flex.gif

And also don't disconnect it from the Co2 pipe, I broke my first glass co2 diffuser when I took it out for cleaning one day... cry.gif

Hi guys and gals,

I need your help. I have a Fluval 3D Edge which is running fine. Unfortunately I managed to damage the built in lighting system (by adding a wrong lamp); now it is not working anymore. I removed the system all together and am in search of an alternative lighting solution for this tank.

The tricky thing is that the tank has a small top that needs to stay on it as it looks much better that way (part of the design; otherwise you are looking directly into the pump/filter).

The only place where I can put the lighting is at the top of the opening.

The width of the aquarium opening is 18,5cm and the height of the cover is 9cm. I could place a small led solution within this but it cannot be taller than 9cm and also not wider than 18,5 cm (otherwise the lit will not fit).

This is the aquarium.

http://www.hagen.com/pdf/aquatic/Fluval_EDGE.pdf

Do you guys know of a solution that would fit proper? I've seen these standard LED solutions, but those might not fit.

I am also considering bringing the current Fluval lighting system to an electrician. I tried contacting Fluval, but they do not reply anymore. I bought the tank (new) from someone at Lowyat, but he doesn't sell them anymore.

Does anyone know where to find an electrician who could take a look at the lighting solution of the Fluval tank? Any place you know of near Mid Valley? Do let me know.

Right now I am using a regular lamp to light up the tank....plants are still doing fine as there is also enough outside light...the fish I have are a bit more hidden nowadays...

Any help is appreciated! smile.gif

Ok aredi, Soak it in bleach 100% concentrated for 15 mins. Rinse it and now ok, back to micro bubbles.

IMO any electrician will do... Try contacting fluval Malaysia or find their authorised dealer here.

If all else fails, you will need to DIY the lights. I think small compact fluorescent lights can fit into the cover.

BTW nice tank... thumbup.gif I saw the thread about it last time...
