c the ear, is it sum sort of fungal infection? o bacteria o juz dry skin???? rclxub.gif

The dry skin on the ears can also be caused by mosquito bites, it'll get worst when the hedgie scratches it.. To cure the dry skin, you can apply some baby oil.. To prevent the mosquito bites, you can put some lemon grass sticks (batang serai) in the cage - the hedgie will bite it and self-annoite all over himself & this will act as mosquito repellent. nod.gif

Now i need to convince my parents to let me keep one. They think that having a hedgehog in the house will cause mites, cancer, respiratory problems etc etc.  icon_question.gif
*

Problem of mites may appear if u don't keep ur hedgie clean - Solution, give ur hedgie a bath once a month
Respiratory problem can be caused by the bedding or the hedgies dander (especially if ur asthmatic) - Solution, use newspaper as bedding & bath hedgie
But CANCER!??? How did ur parents came to this conclusion??? doh.gif

while a hedgehog itself could get cancer, how could it transfer it to you?

unless if you plan to do something really freaky with it, even a bite couldn't infect you ._x

If ur mom is such a health freak, just tell her some health benefit like having a pet can have calming effects thus lowering ur blood pressure (some crap like that) tongue.gif
Once a month is sufficient..especially when they are 'litter box trained' like mine (super clean) brows.gif
If you bath them to often, they might catch a cold..they don't take baths in the wild you know.. nod.gif

Mine is royal canin 36 chicken . Hibari dont like fish. Well i think its because everytime i see hibari , there will be pee and poop together. I am now testing out putting bedding. Cause the poop will stuck on bedding and easier for me to scoop out using that poop scooper thing.

My hedgie always hide herself, only normally wont come out when got ppl around the living room(altho the light is off) unless she is very very hungry .... coz there's one time my mom watch drama until 4am, then only hear her come out to eat.

she's too shy already la..

but I found out she wont have car sick...i brought her to my bf house i went for vacation...

during that 30min driving time, she was playing happily with her wheel... when i stop at the traffic light , i can hear the wheel stopped and she ran back to her "house"...same happened when i bring her back home.

i guess she prefer bumpy bumpy feel in the car than quiet peaceful feel in my house

Unless your house has good ventilation , then its not smelly. It only smells when you are nearby the cage.

Yes charcoal helps.

I feel like breeding hibari >_< . But i dont wanna get another male haha. Too bad.

Use tweezers if you are afraid of touching them. Or use tissues
