To WintersuN - it still depends, my hedgie doesnt like ppl pet him at the bac, u can take him up whenever u want o play wif him anytime bt not scrubbing his back

To Skinny01010 - err....ya, hedgie are quite sensitive to loud noise, might cause him to be tension,  y dun u juz use a headset 

The dry skin on the ears can also be caused by mosquito bites, it'll get worst when the hedgie scratches it.. To cure the dry skin, you can apply some baby oil.. To prevent the mosquito bites, you can put some lemon grass sticks (batang serai) in the cage - the hedgie will bite it and self-annoite  all over himself & this will act as mosquito repellent.

Respiratory problem can be caused by the bedding or the hedgies dander (especially if ur asthmatic)  - Solution, use newspaper as bedding & bath hedgie
But CANCER!??? How did ur parents came to this conclusion??? 

mind if i ask who did u get it from? is all the quills banded? what color is the nose? liver o pink color? mine not all quills banded wor, most of dem are white at the back of his body  can u show more pictures of him? i mean the quill color, the whole body and the face  hopefully gt sum1 hedgie is the same as mine

the enclosure, wat will be under it? like mine, he likes to poo at the corner, so he will scratch till the newspaper koyak then pee n poo there, run up again....so is there aniting under the enclosure? or the light too bright?
