It can be found at almost all the petshop but i remember petshop such as pets wonderland @ mid valley doesnt sell vitakraft brand. If you want can try Nilufar @ The scott garden. I used to buy at petsmore but since Nilufar open i never go to petsmore anymore. The small pack (400g) it's around rm10.90 & the big pack (1kg) it's around rm19.00 if i'm not mistaken. I normally buy big pack for my hammy cos he is a very big eater sweat.gif Normally green pallet he wont touch make me throw it away only.. doh.gif and you might wanna try this treat.. my hammy love it wub.gif

(Vitakrft Fruit Crossys) - I normally cut it half for easier to him to eat but normally he just eat the cream filling inside the rest he never touch it.. doh.gif

user posted image

(Vitakraft Beetroot Bonbinos) - Rich in iron suitable for hammy daily diet. My hammy like to bite it and run around to find a place to eat sweat.gif

I used to have two Winter white dwarfs, but lost them after 1 year, break my heart : ( . I don't know it was my raising problem or they just don't live long? (I'm not sure how old they are when I got them from the pet store but should be adults according to the size)

yes they need it. You can get gnawing stone or those wooded sticks for gnawing but personally for me, gnawing stone dosent work, my hamster dosent touch it at all but not all hamsters are the same. I use apple wood instead, my hamster love it & its most probably the apple smell in the wood...

another option is you can look for something like this user posted image it acts as a bridge for your hamster to climb on it & he can also gnaw on it, i bought this for my hamster too...he used to gnaw on it but after 2 months he stops & just climb on it nowdays. Most probably because the "wood smell" faded away already thats why he got not interest to gnaw on it. Hard dog biscuits works well too but dont give always....

dust type are super duper soft....u will know the difference when u buy one. sand type is better, but each brand got their own texture...some are a little softer & some brand the sand grains are a little bigger in size. You can go for delikate sand bath....its good...alex brand is ok ok only...

& always go for unscented...no matter if its bedding, bathing sand etc....unless you got no choice(e.g mom bought for you) then its ok la if you use scented ones.....but as a rule of thumb always get unscented stuff for your hamster....

correct...but dont leave it in there...after they done rolling in the sand remove it, otherwise they will pee in it, sleep, eat etc...

they are not tame yet...you need to tame your hamster first...right now they think you are unfriendly & going to harm them so natural instinct kicks in.
once they are tame they wont bite you...my hamster is so tame that even if i touch him while sleeping he still wont bite...but of course dont do that la...its not good & will stress out your hamster....even if i am playing with him & if he falls down, i pick him up he still wont bite like nothing happened.

& taming your hamster will take time...months or weeks...depending on your hamster...good luck

I'm so sorry for your loss.. dont feel bad your hammy are fine now at hammy heaven.

Guys.. i have a dwarf hamster which almost 2yrs old. Yesterday when i back home i have notice something wrong with his fur so i took him & have a good look. It's look like some sand stick at his fur & his fur is wet with some liquid. It became dry & its like when we gel our hair it create some spiky look. When i touch it it's quite hard because it already dry up. Any solution guys? i suspects he was sleeping on his pees & then went to this bathing sand & now it's dried up.
