Another ques about the bathing sand...this is what i did...is it correct??
-i placed the bathing sand in its bathing container n kept it inside the cage-

Oh ya...why do they bite??

they are not tame yet...you need to tame your hamster first...right now they think you are unfriendly & going to harm them so natural instinct kicks in.
once they are tame they wont bite you...my hamster is so tame that even if i touch him while sleeping he still wont bite...but of course dont do that la...its not good & will stress out your hamster....even if i am playing with him & if he falls down, i pick him up he still wont bite like nothing happened.

& taming your hamster will take time...months or weeks...depending on your hamster...good luck
