Hi,wat an interested forum for Hamster..
I hv one WW,2male 2 female robos...
Really hope u all will share experience n knowledge with me coz im a newbie...

My 1st pair of Roborovski juz delivered yesterday...
But sometimes the mother bring her pup running on the wheel...
I afraid it will hurt the pup...

Nekochan,this morning i found out the 2 of the pups were dead...
Haiz,dunno wat happen...
But same as ur case,the mom bring to pup for a ride/put them at the wheel n run them over...
Dunno they can survive or not...

Added on December 31, 2011, 4:07 pmReila,my 2nd pair of Robo's did escape b4..
Im using a cage with wire at the mid section..
1 morning i saw them running around in the toilet n living room..
I was like "Wat? I locked the cage but how did they came out?"
I thought i had sleep walked n set them free...
But few days back i saw 1 of them squeeze through the wire section which were slightly wider coz last time i put the water bottle tips through b4...
The Robos r the true Escape Master...

NekoChan,I think no pups make through...
Didnt see any movement or sound today...
Yesterday oni saw 1 pup moving...
Haiz,i think this is her 1st time...

Coz i found some info that father will help mom to take care the pup..

Unfortunately,the last pup oso cant survive...
Mayb bcoz of the father....
Juz cleaned their cage n juz found 2 corpses...

In a newbie but my 1st hamster were a pair of male robos(sibling)...
The bigger 1 were afraid of human,even some small noise will make him hide...
The smaller 1 were more friendly,i can handle him whenever i like n he will come to sniff my finger...
But sometimes they r really a big problem,especially when they run loose...

She was more friendly,slower n she will come to me when im around...
But the major problem is she pee alot...
Need to clean the cage almost everyday...
WW Maintenance vs handling robos....
I prefer robos...

My WW is very tame,i dunno bout others...
I love to handle my WW more than Robos...
But i like to watch my robos coz my WW always sleep...

My WW drink water alot...
almost 30ml/day...
Wet her cage too...

They instinct tell them to pee anywhere they 1...
Mine always pee on the wheel n she always soaked by her urine...
Btw any1 use Mousse Bath for their hamster b4??

Mine did that b4...
She bully a smaller male till the male climb up to the roof of the house to sleep n eat there...
I think better separate them for a while...

I constantly swap their cage...
Make something for them to climb like hanging toilet roll..
Mine like to stay in the hanging roll...

She hide those pups with many tissues in the bath house with bath sand...
Is bath sand ok for the pups??
