QUOTE(infernoaswen @ May 3 2012, 11:40 PM) dust type are super duper soft....u will know the difference when u buy one. sand type is better, but each brand got their own texture...some are a little softer & some brand the sand grains are a little bigger in size. You can go for delikate sand bath....its good...alex brand is ok ok only... thank you so much!! & always go for unscented...no matter if its bedding, bathing sand etc....unless you got no choice(e.g mom bought for you) then its ok la if you use scented ones.....but as a rule of thumb always get unscented stuff for your hamster.... |

QUOTE(starrynight @ Jun 1 2012, 04:08 PM) Hi, You could try Pet Wonderland Mid Valley for Syrian.Would like to know where is best to buy Syrian hamster around PJ area? I went to this place last week and asked the guy why the hamsters don't fight in the same cage and he told me same species, that's why they won't fight. Which I know is not true. Either he's ignorant or he thinks I am. I went to sunway but they don't have syrian there. Any recommendation? Generally, all hamsters are solitary (means they can only live alone) except Roborovski. However, all my Syrians at home don't really fight with each other even both are male. They have been living together almost a year and they are not siblings. |

QUOTE(Ohiki @ Jun 14 2012, 08:39 AM) I think my winter white hamster got a cyst under his mouth...it's about 1cm. I saw this cyst thing after I google it. At first I thought he got bitten by mosquito but after one week still there... when I rub it he doesn't look like pain since he is still and didn't move. It feels like a small lump...anyone encounter this before ? Any cure ? or Vet to cure it ? |

Someone help me. I'm now studying in KL and my sister in Muar, Johor is currently taking care all my hamsters. I've been giving my hamsters Alex or Jolly hamster food (which I bought here) for quite a long time because I couldn't find any decent hamster food being sold there in Muar. However, I've been busy for these few weeks and couldn't go back to deliver the food and ending up by her giving hamster food that she bought from local pet store there.
I have a lot of Syrian and Robos. Yesterday she called, 12 Robos have died with their tummies were blackened. I don't want to believe this but the only variable I saw was she changed the food. Does anyone know where to find Alex or Jolly hamster food (I always buy the 2.5kg packaging) in Muar or online stores that sell those brands? |
