QUOTE(chemistry @ Aug 15 2011, 03:47 PM) Ya, talking about "which card is best for frequent flyer", better consult hye, ben83, Miles, or Gen-X.haha, from the above posts, the guru for frequent flyer are hye and ben83. I know nuts about air miles since I seldom fly (except to SG and that is with budget airlines) and happy with cash back cards or my MBB 2 Amex 5X TP. ** Edited** Click here to read my short article titled The Best Credit Card for Petrol and Movies. This post has been edited by Gen-X: Aug 17 2011, 10:36 PM

MBF is not known to give out waiver for annual fee for the 2nd year onwards that easily. Still the known logic is as the power to cancel your card is always in your hands, you know yourself no special services & rebates in the first year - you could just cancel the card ... yet you choose to hold the card until the second year ???
And for your information, there are cards with far more expensive annual fee.
As bro Human Nature mentioned, did you read up the T&C ?

Any of you had any prior experience booking a room through Hotelclub.com ? May i know in what currency they are going to bill us ? Say for hotel booking in South Korea ? Is it going to be in KRW or USD ? And what if we choose to view the rate in MYR ? Thanks in advance!

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Aug 18 2011, 08:36 PM) i thought minimum criteria is RM24k/annum? yes, that's the new guideline. unless you intend to spend beyond your means, getting a debit card will be a smarter choice. besides, there is nothing embarrassing in holding a subsidiary card than owing the bank money that you can't afford.

QUOTE(oscar6223 @ Aug 18 2011, 05:47 PM) I think should be rejected... Cuz new BNM guideline is min RM24000 yearly income ambank calculated for a friend of mine and they included the bonus etc... the basic annual salary for my friend is 30k+ but ambank asked if included bonus etc. can reach 40k? and they proceed with 40k annual salary.. don't know about other bank or for new applicant...
