Click here to read my article UOB Credit Cards for buying Coach Handbags and The Garden CNY Free Gifts. Spend RM150 and you get 5 HSBC/The Gardens Ang Pow and if you spend RM800 get a free ladies pouch (for HSBC CC, I think it was RM550).

Got slightly more than RM150 SMART$ Cash rebate with the UOB CC at Coach. If I had use my MBB 2, I would only have earned RM50 (not including 5X TP) and used up my allocation for this month.

@MilesAndMore: check out the Dragon Ang Pow I got at Coach.

Hi Guys,

I recently got sms notification from mbb about my cc been charged by touch n go. I am using Zing card MBB that will auto reload my TNC every time the balance below RM50.

My concern is TNC charged my card twice in a day (that happen once). Is that mean TNC simply auto reload our TNC card and charge to my cc later? If that is the case, then it is fine. I just scare if this is fraud. sad.gif.

TQ.
*
If I were you I would quickly cancel the auto reload. The TNC staff are really inept, speaking through my experience. The problem is they do not follow procedure and so you may find them auto reload too often before due course. Please go for manual top up at the counter to avoid dispute.

Nice!!! The Coach Ang Pow is for collection, not to give other people biggrin.gif I wondered if HSBC has HSBC Premier Ang Pow this year. There didn't have it last year... Guess i'll find out tomorrow biggrin.gif Again, thanks for sharing all the Ang Pow you've got this year thumbup.gif

By the way guys, inflight duty free purchases paid by credit card/charge card/debit card are processed offline and the transaction date recorded could be a few days later than the actual transaction date. So if you think that you should use your MBB2 AMEX to pay for the duty free items you bought on a weekend flight, think again as you may not be able to get the weekend 5% rebate.

Did anyone of you receive an SMS saying that the amount and your card last 4 digit number purchased on a date.

I got such SMS but did not perform the transaction. Is this a spam or something?

I tried calling bank this morning but no ones pick up the phone.

Anyone can help? Or share your experience?

This sms thingy is a newly implemented stuff as required by Bank Negara to minimize on fraud. All banks have started to role out such sms service since 1st Jan 2012.

BNM ruling: transaction alerts via SMS would be issued by Jan 1 2012 in a bid to curb credit card fraud. So most cc issuers are beginning to have this service. But yeah, I would freak out too if I receive the autobill SMS at 4 am.

Exactly! Because I did new Transaction on my CIMB credit card so far I didn't get any SMS notification from the bank. Only this morning 4am from HSBC... I was like... huh? shocking.gif

Keep calling the CS cannot get through... make me feel worst. In the end is because of autobilling of insurance 1st quarter payment.

The SMS did not mentioned the transaction was with which merchant?

So for I have received SMS from:

Alliance stating last four digits, amount and for Prudential (actually I have a few policies but only received one sms).
MBB VI stating last four digits, the name of the clinic in SG and amount in SGD.
UOB stating last four digit, at Coach and amount.

So from above, the banks above do state the merchant details.
