Guys, I've received a call from 03-41414141 saying that they gonna install Unifi at my house. The problem is can I trust them with my details etc?

I've done some googling and the number is actually from credit management company.

http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/0341414141

They told me that my house is serviceable for Unifi, but when I check manually on http://www.unifi.my, it says that my house is not serviceable yet.

Can anyone can tell me about HyppTV?
I mean, it is said that TM will start charging for it starting April 2011. So, If I register VIP packages, I will have to pay additional fees for the service every month?

Thanks

No, unless you subscribe to any of the non-free channels.

Oh, if not mistaken I upgraded my Streamyx to 4Mbps this year, is there any penalty if I want to upgrade to Unifi?

Q1. Is there anyone have issue with download speed capped?
What happens if you reach 60GB in a month?
what is the speed going to be?

Q2. Does it block megaupload/rapidshare/uploadstation?

I've been to Unifi website but couldnt find any.

afaik there wouldnt be if the account holder of said streamyx account is the one that applies for the unifi upgrade.

as of today, there's still no bandwidth cap. there's no eta yet afaik as to when they'll be implimenting it again. prolly after they've baited more customers? smile.gif

mu is blocked but not rs & us. but you could bypass the "block" with a simple dns change.

For phone connected to VDSL modem, normal RJ11 cable is used.

Happened to me as well. Unifi and astro down.

Btw, I'm having some slow unifi speeds. If they send a tech, will I have to pay for it?

Yes, unless the installer patches it differently from the MDF room which they might need to modify the cable abit...but still it's cable with RJ11 connectors.

hi unifi vip 5 user here since 20/06/2011!

in the first 2 weeks always got dc. the dsl light/ indicator blinking most of the time and sometime no light at all!

then i got <5mb download speed and 8-12mb upload speed tongue.gif but now after the last maintenance i only manage to get 4-5mb download speed and <2.5mb upload speed sad.gif

it's not even 2 months but my hyyptv remote already broken! never 'terhempas' or 'terjatuh' before. not even a single 'ketuk' to the remote. poor product quality from tm!!!
