guys, two days ago, my hse electric shut down suddenly due to the storm. After that, i tried to connect to the internet with unifi and it failed. i checked that my BTU is not power on when i switch on the plug. is this mean my BTU dead?
*
Happened to me last month. Turned out it was the power adapter problem. They came n replaced a new power adapter and everything was good again. You have to call Unifi and make a complaint on it.

Anyone used the "official" Unifi speed test site? http://www.unifi.my/unifi/index.php?option...d=75&Itemid=269

I lodge a complaint with Unifi that my upload speed is slow (~1.5Mbps based on speedtest.net result) and they asked my to test with the above link. The test results (multiple time) using the official link shows close to 5Mbps, but speedtest.net shows only ~1.5Mbps.

My DUMeter and Net Meter both shows throughput that's similar to speedtest.net.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks.

May I ask is it really must terminate current telephone line if I'm changing from streamyx to unifi?

Cannot use back the old telephone no. for unifi?

For landed property, not a must to terminate current phone line. They will pull fibre to your house, old copper line can be kept. But that is at an extra charge of monthly fee for the old copper phone line (RM26 for rental I think)

For condo/apartment (not sure about business buildings though), you will have to sacrifice the copper phone line if it's on VDSL where each unit has their own cable connecting between the central system, they can't lay extra cable for new line. They will use back the same wall socket in your unit. But be reminded that, even if you can't use ur streamyx, you need to terminate it at TM Point. They won't do the job right for you after you install. doh.gif

For both cases, you will get a new number. You can't use old phone number.

Hi,

considering to get Unifi once they starts at my apartment. i think it will be through the copper wire. I saw the Unifi distribution box installed at my apartment but couldn't see my address in Unifi website yet.

Anyway, after reading the "Installation Guide" in page 1, i would liek to ask advice on my current streamyx account. What is the steps for me to terminate my streamyx and when/how it should be done so that the migration to Unifi is smooth?

appreciate the helps.

Today I realize the connection is way better.
Torrenting can get me 2.2MB to Taiwan/China.

I only can tell you that I can load 1080p Youtube video with no buffer providing that whole 5Mbps is open for browser to access. On VIP 5.
