Big thanks to user “Unick” on Nokia Support Forums, who posted a working solution to the problem, and there are couple of successful installs reported from the solution.
I just deleted folder E:\Private\20019119\. After that I ran SW update on the phone & it restarted download of Symbian Anna Update 1/2 & 2/2 as well as Social, they  finished updates successfully.
To delete the mentioned folder, follow these simple steps:
• Connect your Nokia N8/C7 in Mass Storage mode to PC via USB cable
• Locate and delete folder named “20019119″ under \Private folder of Mass Storage
• Unplug the device from PC, and retry again. It should work.

yeah i don't get that. After most of us already updated to Anna they are now saying it is not ready for us Malaysian yet?
What kind of logic is that?

Biased? Tell that to any Maxis N8 owner. They know more about biase then you possibly could. Split screen or no split screen, they aren't going to get any of it.

According to them, they were still testing Anna for local variant. The roll out info can be found http://www.nokia.com.my/anna

Still, I'm wondering as what kind of localization they mean. Apps for Malaysia region?

There is no split screen text input on any firmware that has Chinese. So Malaysian, Singapore, China and Indonesian phones all do not support split screen.  Furthermore, the pinyin input does not support portrait qwerty.

If you install a firmware version which does not support Chinese, you get split screen activated. I have tested both Thailand and Indian versions, both working with split screen.

Also, the 2 software updates that come after your have installed anna will not add portrait qwerty.

Furthermore - this issue has NOTHING to do with swype. Please ignore any message your read which mentions swype.

Just flash and enjoy it... I dont think got anything NEW other than those reported earlier.

After flash, those TV links are back. I think thats the one they refer to probably.

then install in the sequence below:

1.qt.sis
2.qtwebkit.sis
3.qmlviewer.sis
4.qtmobility.sis
5.Notifications Support Package Symbian3 v1.1.11120.sis
6.Notifications Environment Selector Symbian3.sis

it might ask if you want to overwrite the old files, say yes everytime

reboot when finished and ovi store loads fine now for me
