oh well.. pro's and con's of each phone.. no such thing as the best phone.

i just get back my n8 for Nokia care center..
the reason my n8 cannot power on previously was due to battery faulty.
which is the SAME reason my friend n8 was sent to NCC in 1 month back.

I'm curious. If it's just battery faulty then y they need to reflash my n8 firmware n my friend one. however the imei is still the same.

I believe this is a standard issue for n8. Please do share if any1 experience the same issue.

how long later you found this issue of not powering up?

None of the camera capabilities in Smartphone beats N8 till now in terms of still shots of course.

Not even other supposedly high end model from Nokia. Who in their right mind would buy a fixed focus camera like those in the E7?

It all comes down to personal preference. Get to know what you really want out of your phone and decide.

last week lor..out of sudden the phone is off already..
then cannot switch on + kenot charge. like a dead n8 with motherboard issue.,
not only me..but my fren n8 which is 2 month younger than mine..

i love my n8..just worry the problem will be occur agn in future..

SIFUS, anyone try Garmin/Papago on N8 b4? Better than the current ovi map? is it free n how to get it?

after trying out belle previous..now using back anna...however i still prefer belle when comes to connectivity where user have option to turn off the data packet connection to avoid any connections connected automatically... Anna is bad and it keeps connecting whenever it wants..and there goes my prepaid credit being sucked just like that....
but comparing to belle and anna photo, anna is much sharper and clearer than belle...still wondering when belle official out....

I am using garmin . Overall ovi gives better experience but for poi garmin still wins

have both garmin and nokia map...

garmin is better because here in Malaysia.. we have people who wilingly update and make new weekly updated maps for us for free..

nokia maps is kinda not so updated especially that non main road...

garmin maps that made of those 'people' are really detail and accurate..

nokia maps has 3d view which is really..

i'm waiting for papago in N8...

you need to buy garmin apps..[but dunno if it still in sales here..].. maybe you could try search for garmin shop..[dont go any other than authorized shops .. because they might sells you the non-original garmin to you..

well Nokia maps is free and it is really good for main road , cities , navigation...

Hmm, why cant you turn off your network connection to always ask and WLAN on ANNA?

Nvr knew this thread still alive and well...
And our abang botak jumped ship =p

I still feel the aura. I also jump ship but i keep my N8.

time will make anythings fade away... but still looking for the replacement and from current trend (hw & sw wise) the green robot high chances will be my next ship...

As much as I loved my N8 with leaked Belle installed, there's no way it can still be my daily driver after all its limitation. So, I'm jumping ship, nope not to Android. Much less iOS. I'm going to use the uber-exclusive Windows Phone 7.5 Mango powered Dell Venue Pro as my daily driver. Really digging the integration in WP7 as well as its smoothness. And quality time with E6 makes me realized that I cant live without hardware QWERTY keyboard. Plus, I get it for dirt cheap!

Still, my N8 will be my primary camera and media consumption device. And I already rekindled my love for N8 after installed being installed with Belle. Maybe its because of my geeky soul craving for something more exotic

i already installed papago m7 in my n8 few months back... Not really nice.
