Dear moderator, where is the link on REIT faq ? I thought it was on the first page of the thread.

Anyway, quick question - how am I going to be paid by REIT? through bank account or cheque? SOmeone tells me they no longer issue cheques now but directly debit into the accoutn registered with CDS??

There is no reit faq, as far as I remembered, but you can read through Reit V1, there are plenty of useful discussion going on previously.

i am interested in stareit and pavillion reit (my preference is shopping center reits)

Dividen play only for reits, means the return is better than FD so this is suitable only for money that you don't need in case of emergency ..... as know n as spare money .... reits is volatile as shares too. ...... but more defensive than normal stocks..... Defensive in nature start with Healthcare, Shopping MAlls, plantations, last is office or industry warehouse ...... am i right ? hopefully nod.gif

Dear Sifus,
Can't seem to find the Pavilion REIT thread, so posting here instead...
Can anybody guide me on how to subscribe the IPO?
http://announcements.bursamalaysia.com/EDM...6B?OpenDocument
Need to have a CDS account with a bank (Maybank, CIMB, etc) or will any brokerage do (ECM, Jupiter, OSK, etc) ?

Thanks blush.gif

i just received a mail from AXREIT regarding the reinvestment plan.

it seems like the income distribution reinvestment form needs a RM10 revenue stamp/stem hasil. is this true?

if true, then for my case, it's not worth it since my dividend is very small portion only.

New to this as well. Here's how i did it via M2U:
1. Add your CDS account to M2U profile (non-Maybank CDS possible)
Login > Investment tab > eShare > Manage CDS Account
2. Subscribe the IPO
eShare > select PAVREIT IPO > fill in the subsequent pages to complete application

Meh...i don't know what's that for too. Shouldn't require that field so long as you provide your existing CDS account in the field prior to that (can't remember the field name)
