Isn't South City managed by ARReits?

The REIT's Annual Reports contains the Top 10 tenants.

QUOTE
Article 8.37

The total borrowings of a fund (including borrowings through issuance
of debt securities) should not exceed 50% of the total asset value of
the fund at the time the borrowings are incurred. Notwithstanding,
the fund’s total borrowings may exceed this limit with the sanction of
the unit holders by way of an ordinary resolution.

Isn't the 50% cap on total asset value and not shareholders' equity?

http://www.sc.com.my/eng/html/resources/gu...its_110713a.pdf

Question. QCapita's Annual Financial Result 2010 mentioned Gearing Ratio of 36%. But using the below formula;

CODE
(Long-term debt + Short-term debt + Bank overdrafts)/Shareholders' equity

Non-Current Liabilities - 198,423,514
Current Liabilities (Borrowings) - 116,106,127
Total Unitholders’ Funds - 497,977,269

I get 63% [(198m + 116m) / 498m].

Did I calculated something wrong?

Got the 36%. Needed to exclude the security deposits.

(188m + 116m)/844m = 36%

But that wouldn't be called gearing ratio anymore. Feels a bit strange to call it that way.

19 USJ Mall most likely, based on the name. But this is just guessing on my part.

Dividend per unit is not based on the market price of the share. It's based on whatever distributable income is available and the amount of share units that it is divided upon.

Dividend yield is sort of a measure of return that you are getting in relation to the price you are paying for the share. In layman terms, that is.

As the term means. E-dividend means that the money is directly paid into your bank account instead of sending out a cheque.

A lot of info can be obtained from Bursa's website if you browse around there.

Just a question regarding ATRIUM's dividend. If there's no mention about tax, can I assume that the whole amount is tax-exempted?

QUOTE
How do I declare the income received from unit trust and REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust)? Can I claim back the Malaysian Tax deducted under Section 110 (others)?

When you make reference to the distribution of REIT income to its unit holders, IRB would prefer to use the term income distributed rather than dividend.

For REIT, the tax deducted at 10% is a final tax. So the taxpayer is not required to declare the REIT income in his/her Income Tax Return Form and, thus, not entitled to claim for deducted tax.

3 months unpaid but their security deposit is equivalent to 24 months rental that can be utilised if necessary (according to the interim report).

Story went missing on TheStar online (at the time of this post) but it can be read in today's paper. Erroneous publication?
