QUOTE(wankongyew @ Jun 15 2012, 09:54 AM) Loans, usually expressed as a percentage of assets. For example, a company with assets worth 1 billion isn't worth shit if it owes 1.1 billion, gearing of 110%. Assets = Liabilities + Shareholders' equity Loans are part of liabilities, so gearing ratio can't be more than 100%, right

QUOTE(river.sand @ Jun 15 2012, 10:06 AM) Assets = Liabilities + Shareholders' equity Loans are part of liabilities, so gearing ratio can't be more than 100%, right REITs in Malaysia are indeed limited by Bank Negara to a gearing of 50%. But it is certainly possible for companies to have gearing ratios of over 100%. All banks do this for example.

QUOTE(Smurfs @ Jun 14 2012, 04:36 PM) As long as Tenants doing well can pay rental on time,it should be no problem and CMMT is acquiring Queensbay Mall somewhere in the near future. Price up up again ? Perhaps Do you mean transferring QBM from CMA trading at SGX to CMMT? Curious to know where you get this news?
