I checked with CIMB staff at Pavilion, its 0% interest BT is a real 0%. That means you only need to pay minimum every month and settle in full in the 6th month. I would say it is the best BT in the market.

for citibank, they have a good offer for BALANCE CONVERSION

you can convert your existing balance of your citibank cc at 9.88% pa interest
this is good option to split the payments into installments max 3 years. can less the burden.

Are you kidding? You consider 9.88% per annum a good offer? CIMB/DA offers you 0% interest for 6 months and 1% for 1 year.

I believe CIMB/CIMB DA also have almost similar feature with one-time upfront fee of 3% and min amount to convert is RM 500. It's called i.pay plan.

I think this is doable... so long you have the enough limit, BT would be approved.

Having said that.. please allow 1 month 'buffer', cox public bank/CIMB will ask for your latest cc statement... If they saw you just BT it out, then now aply for BT again, I wonder what would they think... will this be part of the approval criteria??? i'm not sure then... biggrin.gif

It's a installment programme like Citibank Balance Conversion. It's not BT.

i mean, can i show unbilled transaction to CIMB ?
Eg. my current statement due date is 1 Oct, outstanding 1k. i spend 10k on 27 Sep, shown in internet but will be reflected in my next statement with due date 1 Nov. Becoz i have not receive the new statement yet, can i do 10k BT by showing the unbilled outstanding of 11k printed from internet to CIMB ? Or should i wait the new statement to come then can only do BT ?

Thanks

I doubt they accept. They want first page bill summary showing outstanding amount and payment due date.

No freebie because this is a promotional campaign at attractive low interest rate of either 0% (for 6 months) or 1% (for 12 months).

For transfers to be made on or before the statement due date of the account to be transferred, your request must reach us at least 10 days prior to the statement due date. PB Card Services will not be responsible for any charges that may be imposed by the other issuer(s) due to transfer delays.

Within the tenure you transferred, the answer is YES.

EH! I didn't know this. I'm on their 0% interest 6 months plan and every month I pay in full, as in the amount transferred divided by 6.

i think for most balance transfer with 0% offer, as long as you pay min payment within the given tenure, no interest will be charged, but after the tenure, they will start charging you the normal finance charge on the outstanding balance from the balance transfer
