From what I understand, whatsapp is USD0.99 for a lifetime license on iOS because the makers wanted to show their appreciation to the users on that platform for making whatsapp so popular in the first place. That and maybe due to the way Apple rapes software developers' revenue via iTunes, they wanted to make sure Apple gets as little $ as possible from whatsapp sales
When I first signed up with whatsapp on my old BB, there was only a 7 or 14 day trial then. Paid USD1.99 after the trial for an annual license so I guess Android users are already luckier than BB users for getting a 1 year free trial. It was a good thing that the license I paid for on BB still applied to Android (since I didn't change my number).
My current license expires in Oct 2012 (it says 2012 10 3 so I guess it's not Mar 2012) and I will surely continue purchasing annual licenses. It would be nicer if they simply charged something like USD3.99 for a lifetime license but it's up to the whatsapp makers, not me. Anyway USD1.99 per year is fairly cheap, not even RM10.
no wonder they have it for lifetime but nonetheless it's cheap for a year
btw guys, check this out if u own a DSLR!! u can control ur DSLR just using ur phone. thanks to Chainfire's DSLR Controller!!
well i tried re-installing the drivers on the first page and the same thing happens..Still nothing..connection not detected when phone is in download mode..i tried taking the battery out before..
Guys, any thought on this?
odin cannot detect? must be something wrong. micro usb plug' problem?
is there anything that we cant use with simplicity..you know like CM7 and MIUI we cannot make video call,no radio, choppy camera, bal bla bla...
Simplicity is basically a modded stock ROM. It pretty much has all of Samsung's stock features and more (you can read it in the first page).

tqvm... i shall try the raw simplicity before add the spice :-)
I beta test the kernels, hence why I went for stability. This is to enable me to catch bugs and eliminate the usual suspects. Overall the kernel is very stable and very smooth and fast. The dev is also very knowledgeable in Linux and Android kernels.
