Hi all,

I have just installed XXKG1 firmware on my SGS2 and already configures and installed all the necessary apps to it. Then later down the stage, there are some apps that required to be rooted.

So I have downloaded the CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KG1-v4.1-CWM4.zip file but have not proceed to flashing it 'cuz I need to find out if this will wipe out clean my phone and I have to start all over again to configure and install back all the apps and contacts?

You must set up your APN for internet.

You need one if you are using pirated, Warez and low rating apps in the market.

Flashing a kernel cannot wipe your system. The file you used must contain a script that does the wiping.

that was quick. No love for touchwiz? Juice defender is recommended since battery drain is still present in cm7 #104 - although I found it had been greatly improved compared to nightlies #85

I also use green battery power saver that intermittently switch off and on my phone data internet.

cm7 #104 doesn't apply APN settings (at least for me). Re-check your apn address whether it is correct or not. Can refer first page.
