guy, kindly recommend me best android for this spec:
1. Brand. (HTC/Samsung/SE) 2. Budget. (1-1.2k) 3. Min Specs. (512Ram/5MP/) 4. What you need in the phone (fast!) Used or new set also can. |

hi im new to smartphone but considering android.
1. SE/HTC. (currently eyeing arc and incredible S) 2. would like to have recommendations for phones around 1.5k. i'll go for higher price if its more worth it. 3. IDK about ram or proc. but i want good camera, and big screen. 4. im buying this phone and gonna use it for years ahead. so it has to be durable. and i dont have time to go online with laptop, so this phone usage will be maximized, hence i need almost everything in it. read about defy but dont like the cam MP and its thickness. anyways, is defy+ around yet? err isit too much to ask? |

For Android phones below 1k, the only decent ones are the CSL MI-410 or the Huawei X5.any bad review? budget 1k below. on Android phone. If you're a fan of small factor phones though, the SE Xperia Mini should work fine. QUOTE(blythe8 @ Sep 25 2011, 09:59 AM) hi im new to smartphone but considering android. If you don't plan to change your phone in the near future, I suggest you go for the SGS2. 8mp camera, thinnest phone and a large S-AMOLED+ screen.1. SE/HTC. QUOTE(shinichi87 @ Sep 25 2011, 06:43 PM) hello guys... i need help in choosing a new android phone. I bought my Samsung S Plus last week instead of Incredible S that the sifus recommended coz of video call. Coz it seems that Incredible S doesnt have video call function unless Skype or something similar is installed into it. Whereas Samsung can go without those. So far there is nothing wrong with the phone. The cam is decent for a 5mp phone. However, it does not have flash. I've tested it out by taking pictures of food inside a cafe its decent as well. As for GPS, the seller helped me installed PAPAGO into it. So far so good however it tends to take quite a long time to detect GPS signal (my phone is not rooted coz its still under warranty currently have my eyes on samsung s plus 1) budget below 1.5k 2) excellent gps performance (fast lock and stable) does samsung s plus has this kind of gps feature? thank you for helping This post has been edited by DewDropDazzle: Sep 26 2011, 01:36 AM |

S-AMOLED.. well my buddy is using SGS2 but don't think there is anything to shout about it. Ok la nice view but not much impact functionality. My desk is next to the window in my office and just now i test the desire's gps. It took 6 minutes plus to get it lock to the satelite for my papago. What about trying it in open space or put it on your car dashboard and drive in open space (without tall buildings around). On a cold start, my desire will take 1-3 minutes, depending on the surrounding area where i drive. If its a non cold start, it can lock very fast, sometimes as fast as my garmin nuvi |

THe S-AMOLED+ screen is absolutely stunning when used on full brightness. Coupled with the true blacks, my older HTC Incredible S looked incredibly dull. But, of course, if you can get over the frequent over-saturation of colour. Battery life wise, I don't have to worry since its currently tethered to my desktop so its basically charging 24/7 now This post has been edited by xDarkKnightx: Sep 26 2011, 11:06 AM |

Not everyone thinks the look in the screen is important. whether it's retina display or AMOLED i don't give a damn. so it really differs from one user to another.HTC's resale value is quite high in GS though.
