Gf looking an an Android phone, +/- 1k (ideally minus), any recommendations on what's a good Android budget phone?

Edit : Oh yeah, no particular specs are a concern, just a good all rounder phone for that price range. (just in case anyone wants to ask me to list rough specs required first)

thanks for your advise... i will see who is cheaper between this two then.... i think the nexus s should be cheaper bigger screen and bigger storage and less buggy ... right?

i9020 now below 1200 .
16gb storage , no sd card slot bear in mind, should be less buggy and fast

no camera zoom too . fixed .

budget: below rm1k...
specs: can play current game without lag should be ok...
what you need: can play facebook games, good camera, gps, best battery life possible (are 2 days too much to ask?)

I afraid X5 got battery issue or laggy or even bugs... cos china brand, never tried using china brand before...

x5 = desire Z spec . you pick .

i'm stuck between galaxy s plus or incredible s.can someone reconmend me either of these two?galaxy s plus has a better processor but sadly no camera flash

Can anybody recommend me which of these phones should i get, i cant decide between the HTC Sensation, Galaxy S 2 and LG Optimus 2x.

My main concern would be speed, and 2nd is battery life.

so far the only x5 or mi410 suit ur budget (both is below 1k, 799 to be exact) NEW
or just hunt for 2nd unit in garagesales.. I MEAN HUNT!!

Speed wise, Sensation/S2 is roughly on bar. Battery life wise, it depends on your usage and eagerness to flash kernals/roms.

If you are, then the S2 would be better.

If not, the Sensation/S2 is the same.
Even though the S2's stock firmware is not as good as the Sensation's.
The S2 has an edge if you use a black wallpaper due to the S-AMOLED+ technology.

And the sensation also has a few flaws with the screen(sharpness/sensitivity).

Overall the S2 is a better choice.

O2x is not recommended due to many flaws.

Defy is definitely not recommended due to the inferior GPU when compared with other phones if used for gaming.

Try HUNT for a red Sony Ericsson xperia Neo @ RM 950-1000. It is sexy for girl to use. The low memory of this phone is not a big issue for an all rounder girl phone.

Hi, I wanna buy a new phone but stuck between Samsung Galaxy S Plus and HTC Incredible S (or any other good phones around). Both the phone prices varies between RM100-200. My budget is abit tight let say RM1400-1500 (the lesser the better).

What i need in a phone is that it must have friendly UI, app friendly, touch screen sensitive. I seldom take pictures (even if i took i only took pictures of food lol). A front cam is a must coz i uses video call.

And i'm in a fix. Dont know which phone suits me. Much help would be appreciated ! Thank you !

P/S: Currently using Nokia C6-01. Its my first time using a Nokia and i had a bad experience. Not even 2 weeks after i bought it the loudspeaker went kaboom and i need to send it for repair n waited 3 weeks. So was hoping that i could get a better phone than that. No offence intended to Nokia fans >"<

Why not go for a desire S? Everything basically the same as an IS cept that its slightly smaller at 3.7" .

Why IS? I kinda surf and read briefly thru this thread and saw IS were mentioned quite frequently

Oh well, i went to Mobile88 website after u mentioned Desire S. Unfortunately, it is out of my budget.
It is priced at RM1640-1720.

My Sony Ericsson K550i is getting really old and since December 2007. Dead pixel, I am not sure how long it will fail dead pixel as large as 0.5cm radius(round spot) wide showed in on screen already. LOL.


1. Brand. = Any good brand with good software/durability.

2. Budget. = RM600-1000 (Ori phone only, since I am looking for using it for long long time)
(I cant put exact budget as I know there are some phones provide excellent price/performance/quality @ certain price range to justify the +/- Rm200-300 budget. But this are my budget range.) It would be much helpful if u could tell the pros and cons of these phones

3. Specs. = Noidea. Since I dont follow phone tech. Basically I need, Wi-fi, GPS(I might use a lot), basic phone call?

4. What you need in the phone (Good camera/good sound quality/durable) =
- the number one top priority will be durable. as I am planing to use this phone as long as possible, >3-5years.
- Drop-able? I usually drop my phone from my height(175cm), some from stairs. etc. yes I am a rough user, my k550i was scratched here and there. I like this phone because it is drop able, I almost lost count on how many times I drop.
- Decent Camera. I think I am happy with just 3-4mp.
- GPS, I will be using this a lot.
- battery life, I am lazy to charge my phone.
- less heat when making phone call, as I know some phone generate a lot of heat around ur ear when u call.

been reading this thread, so far I can see X5/Xperia neo. my question is are these phone trash-able? Any other suggestion? i usually spend about R600-800 on phone unless there are RM1K phone with huge advantages to justify the RM200 top up.

The Desire S has a 5mp camera instead of an 8 one.

mobile 88's price aren't accurate. An AP Desire S these days is only around 1.1k

How about Mi410 vs X5 ? cos now only i notice Mi410 is actually X6 and its in the same price...

should Mi410 be better ?
