like i said before..apparently the tweak can increase overclockability...
coz it stops windows from detecting 'unusual clock speeds'

Ur barton is only 2 months old? Hmm..no chance of unlocking for desktop bartons over week 39 2003. Try going for 190x11.5 then.. around 1.85vcore or so..

i have unlocked XP-M but if I change the multipier to other than 11.5, its BSOD, even if i feed the proc enough volt {1.575v@1.7v}. I only managed to raise the fsb. Can somebody enlighten me on this? Currently using Taipan D27 modded bios and no mod on hardware.Btw, highest oc i reached is as in sig. No prime stable tho.
*
try change ur multiple to stock and raise fsb. raise fsb until u cant prime stable then up some voltage. until the max fsb, try lower ur multiple and raise some fsb again. remember u vdimm and ram oso.

best is high multi and high fsb tongue.gif
but most procs cant do that..so lower multi higher FSB..coz FSB raises the overall speed of ur whole PC...multi is just ur CPU

just finished trying and testing. this is what i got

Max OC = 250x9.5@1.775 pprime stable {default 133x13.5@1.575)
CPU:FSB = 1:1
RAM = 250@2.8 (5 memtest error at test Test5 and 3 memetest error at test6, but after test6, no more error. Can somebody explain why?)
Mem timing = 3-4-4-8-2T (how to set it to 1T?)
I suspected its the bios that limiting me. I reads from other forum that, withTaipan D27 bios CPC on, oc capabilities is limited. Im using this bios
D27_TaiPan_0.3_ED_Bpl_3.19_28.12.04 - is this cpc on or cpc off?I dont knpw because, it's listed in a FTP server and no description about it.
Thanks guy...for the input.

you should use this bios: ABIT-NF7D27-3DFire-1T

yeah.... i've tried mantaray D26 XT. stability is good, but with my loose timing, it boot too slow. That's why i prefer 1T bios. smile.gif
*
2t give you more FSB

1t give you more tight timming...

but in my system 2t give me highest fsb and most tight timming. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif so with it i get the fastest perfomance bios...

but result may differ with other pc...

BTW: i am lucky! LOL laugh.gif
