After i refer your rig, i think the main prob to oc your proc is your ram. Dun think that you can reach 200fsb with that ram.

above ddr400 is ddr2, cannot fit your current mobo. Just get kvr or hyperX and not apacer ram.

like i said before..apparently the tweak can increase overclockability...
coz it stops windows from detecting 'unusual clock speeds'

thanks man. should try this too

QUOTE(xen0 @ Dec 9 2005, 09:42 PM)
i need more guide here...

1. there's any chance my cpu can go higher?? do i hv to flash a new bios for my mobo?
2. whats the vcore limit? 2.0v? 2.5v?
3. oc my ATI...increasing agp voltage..is that necessary?
*
1) i think can at least up to 2.3g. it up to you want to flash it or not. the nf7-s default bios is already good to oc.
2) you should check it on your own. but your hsf sweat.gif . tak payah la oc lebih dari 2v. 1.8volt pun dah cukup panas.
3)sometimes it is required to increase the agpvoltage to avoid artifacts.

QUOTE(xen0 @ Dec 10 2005, 02:55 AM)
so which bios is the best?? mantaray? or else....any1 can send any bios to me??
plz attach with a guide how to flash it...nver flash a bios for abit b4...i hv done for MSI mobo...

Mr_47: vcore limit; see at the bios?? if i put the max vcore, my cpu will 'meletup' or not??
*
if you set the max vcore, then i think we can do some cooking(fried chiken maybe whistling.gif ).

just set your fsb to 200 and vcore to 1.8v and buy new hsf. if you want to oc more , may be it'll effect you ram. corsiar vs sweat.gif . pi beli hypeerX ka bt-d43 ka, baru boleh oc sedap sikit thumbup.gif .

yeah.. i have to buy a new cooler....
when i set to 196*11.5 @1.9v...
run the sp2004...
my mobo become an ambulance..eno..eno..eno.. biggrin.gif (75 celc)

*
cannot set your cpu at 200*11.5 @1.8v?
FYI, rising the voltage is to make your oc system stable in OS. i don't see whether is it related to performance whistling.gif but increasing your voltage more than you should be, you will only get heat sweat.gif .

how to know my proc is locked or unlocked one?
mine is barton2500 running at 2.2ghz..
200fsb x 11 multiplier
mobo is  an7.
and can anyone give me link that show proper way to put thermal grease? with picture..
*
follow gr2000 advice to check the stepping.

proper way to put thermal grease is to use card(any card like prepaid cad). apply the the thermal grease( besar sebutir beras aja) on the cpu surface, using the card *ratakan the grease. sorry no pic include.

arafat, you can refer to this link

http://www.arcticsilver.com/arctic_silver_instructions.htm

however instead using razor, like the web suggested, you can also use card as i say tongue.gif before.

if your proc is unlocked, try to decrease the multiplier, if the multiplier can be decrease, that's mean your proc is unlock.

your v-core also need to be increase. try and error increasing the voltage until you reach the stable voltage. but beware if you're using stock hsf, you might encounter with heat problem

QUOTE(gr2000 @ Feb 2 2006, 12:38 AM)
yours should be unlocked..SHOULD be la..coz ur multi is 10.5..2500+ default multiplier is 11x

i MIGHT be wrong
*
you might be right, my 2500+ multiplier is 11(unfortunately locked wink.gif ).

QUOTE(wiLL*lianG @ Feb 2 2006, 01:22 AM)
yeah, i tried before, increased 1.7~1.75 .. isit i need to increace other than the Vcore? like Vdimm?
*
V-dimm is for memory right(lupa lak)? if so may be should be increase since your fsb exeed 200mHz.

but your proc can easily hit 2.2g thumbup.gif by setting fsb(200)xmultiplier(11) at vcore 1.8volt.
