After i refer your rig, i think the main prob to oc your proc is your ram. Dun think that you can reach 200fsb with that ram.

Dun think that you can reach 200fsb with that ram. i second that...altho there's the existance of dividers...it could cause unstability on some systems...however i have a friend who's using DDR266 but managed to clock a P4 2.4GHz to 3.2GHz..but thats P4..might be different for AMD. |

ive currently raised the multiplier to 1.4x, and at 1.7V
when i raise to 1.5x (no 1.45) and at 1.8v, it will hang before teh loading screen (goes black) (2.33Ghz now) gonna try playing with FSB in a minute ok guys, im a newbie in overclocking, so anyways, i pushed it to 13.5 and 176 fsb, (2.44ghz) without tweaking the fsb 166 and leaving it standard i can go to 2.33ghz, so which is better? (windows seem faster with 176fbs, dont really know what that means but yeah its sorta faster in loading) This post has been edited by JackX: Nov 13 2005, 12:21 AM |

QUOTE(dennisdreams @ Nov 13 2005, 01:01 AM) RAM normally 1GB enough adi...if you want u can just get KVR or paired memory such as Kingston Hyper-X or Corsair Twin-X...these are also DDR400 RAMs..but if you have the budget..and u really wanna get something better..may i suggest you get GeIL Ultra Series DDR RAMs..their DDR series ranges from - PC3200 DDR400 - PC3500 DDR433 - PC3700 DDR466 - PC4000 DDR500 - PC4200 DDR533 - PC4400 DDR550 yes these are all DDR..not DDR2 go Here for their full range of RAMs This post has been edited by gr2000: Nov 13 2005, 11:20 AM |
