Firefox is almost always the first thing I open after my computer boots.
What other programs should I try?
Your Ffox is stock or full with extensions? Lag happened only when u run FFox right after Windows logon?
If lag only happened after logon i think that because Window is still loading the services examples prefetcher, windows search & etc.
Btw, u might want to install Auslogics Disk Defrag then run Defrag and Optimize from time to time.
Alternative to Auslogic Disk Defrag is Piriform Deffragler.. althought its not as fast as Auslogics' but it has boot time defrag which can be usefull to defrag your fragmented system files.

This is weird. before this I used my CQ40+W7 64Bit+4G Ram to run a simulation software. I working fine, until my simulation start to become to huge for the 2 Core, 2.0GHz, 800MHz processor.
Then I change to this DV6. Since this is the first Intel for me, I a bit skeptical (yea, I the red fan boy). With high hope, (who shouldn't) with it Quad Core, 2.0GHz, 1333MHz + turbo boost capability, I try the same simulation on it.
Surprise, surprise.... the software do not recognize Intel i Core processor yet. (what!!) It running, but when it want to simulate, it will search for the processor and identify it, but it fail there. So, not simulation with this software for me.
Well, not to blame anyone. People already using AMD 64Bit technology for their system as Intel insist to use it along with AMD. Now, as time passes, 64Bit software had mature with AMD style. So, I just one thing to say..............
Intel, Y U NO > 9,000????!!!!!!lol.. what software u using for the simulation?
all this time i thought simulation/rendering run best on Intel CPU.
