No need. Any headphone or earphone with a 3.5mm jack will do fine.

Try set the headphone & speaker to default.
Make sure you plug your headphone jack on the right connector.
2 connector are for audio output and the other one is for audio input.

The one nearest to the USB port is the audio in (microphone) jack and the other two is the audio out jack.
I think the 11.5b is the most stable driver. So far I don't have any problem with it although I don't play much game so far.

you can disable start programs with msconfig or if u have ccleaner installed, you can use that instead.

It came with my dv6-6114. You are right, I am able to see the light from my laptop. But what if my battery is faulty? It might not light up then.

+1 It is hard to navigate especially the up and down buttton. They should have shrink the "0" button from the numpad and the right "shift" button to accommodate the arrow keys....
