The current stable AMD driver is 11.8?
Im using dv6-6114tx, i dont really know the version of my Catalyst Control Centre version (it is not like 11.5b, 11.7, 11.8 and etc. they're alot of numbers with fullstops which i cant brain)
If i want to install the AMD Catalyst 11.8 driver, do i need to first uninstall my Catalyst Control Centre first? Or just install the 11.8 and it will update it to 11.8?

Just before i want to say that Silver is better conductor compared to Gold then only i saw acid's post....

Im using version of SC2, but am seriously considering to buy Diablo III when it is out.... damn, blizzard is taking its whole sweet time making the game... wait till world ends already still no release date confirmed....

No need to uninstall, straight install on top existing driver.

On CCC, under Information, no "software" ? There should have Catalyst version.

Wifi Problem
I don't know why, my HP DV6 can't detect my home wifi, but my IPhone and other laptop can join the wifi for online. After I reset the router, my HP DV6 can join the wifi for online, but when I start download (not bt), it automatic lost of signal.
That just can detect the wifi at my home, when I back to office, it can join the wifi at my office and download file.
I already update the wifi driver, is still the same problem. Anybody can help me to solve this problem?

The Wireless G or N ? Try set it to G.
2.4GHz or 5GHz ? Try set it to 2.4GHz.
If you move the DV6 to other spot, how ?

Manually set the Wifi channel between Ch1- Ch11. Some router will auto change to Ch13.

I'm using Skype and I don't have the problem you describe. Need to clarify a few things:

1) Is your problem that you can see the other guy and he cannot see you, or the other guy can see you and you cannot see him?

2) When using Skype video call, there is usually a small video frame in the bottom right corner next to the main video frame. This should show yourself. Is this one working?

3) Can you give a few screenshots of when you are trying to use video call (you can censor the faces if you like)? Can you also write down any error messages you get?

Finally..I installed my SSD into my lappy Maybe I should summarize for some brothers
1) Make recovery CD. I dont prefer to ghost / reimage as it will take the recovery partition as well. Feel that kinda useless..especially when a year later..you bound to install from scratch as everything is outdated in that image.
2) Do a windows backup of your current state and save it in an external storage
3) Took me some time to figure out how to open the HDD and RAM compartment. All you need to do is to move the battery removal switch the other direction and the piece will pop up.
4) Need to unscrew a total of 8 screws if I am not mistaken. Becareful not to break the SATA wiring.
5) To place back the piece of plastic that you removed earlier, its very tricky. Make sure u get all the corners with a click before proceeding further. Or else, you might break one of the tip

Now with everything install, my laptop took 15sec to boot up..super fast~ The usual bottleneck / freeze caused by a slow 5400rpm is no longer there. Its a worth it investment

consider upgrading your skype to the latest version, or try on Windows Live Messenger

When u in Skype video setting u can see urself? I have no problem with Skype.

I cant even see me in video setting, but when use cyberlink youcam no problem ... it said a program used my webcam ... so skype cant .... FML ~

It was intel 320 160gb..bought it for 700plus from a friend. It was just SATA2..was choosing between 120gb sata3 or 160gb sata2..I had to go for the extra 40gb..people say the difference in sata2 and sata3 is minimal for normal usage
