oh theres a way to permanently stop the apps from restarting rite? how to do that ah?
*
Use Root Explorer, open up system/app and find the the the culprit .apk. It should be obvious since it will display the program icon. Once find you can either delete them from existence or rename it to .bak if you think you gonna need them.

First rename whatever the filename to 'update.zip' to make your life easier. Boot to CWM and select 'apply update from sdcard'. If you don't, use 'install zip from sdcard' and browse for the corresponding .zip file

Thanks Najmods, finally got RC2 updated with your guidance........you are so helpful.... cheers.

Added on August 18, 2011, 8:45 pm"Anyhow enough rambling, here's the easy way:
1)Install Script Manager and download V8 supercharger script and put it in SDcard (not in folder)
2) Run Script Manager and select the V8 supercharger script, on the option select 'Run as root' and click 'Run'
3) On select scrolling speed click '1'
4) Next option use option '6' or any other if you fancy testing one by one
5) Next option select '16' to reboot.
6) Upon restart check back whether it is applied or not by running back Script Manager, if it not repeat"

Najmods, trying to install supercharger, notice your step1 mentioned supercharger V8, I can only find V6, my link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...1126940..please provide the link for V8..............thanks..

It is V6 supercharger, I got mix up with that thing. It doesn't matter whether it is V6 or V8, its just naming, basically its just a better memory management

thank you Najmods, got the v6 update 8 installed.........how does it work. Can I just leave it to run on it's own or do I have to run as root occasionally to kill the unwanted apps.

I forgot one step, you need to enable 'Browse as root' in Advanced setting Script Manager. You don't know what you just did isn't it? I suggest you read the link you posted. There's wealth of data telling what is it and how it work. Don't just be 'monkey see, monkey do'

Yup I'm a minimalist. I don't like cluttering programs that I don't need. No credit to me, I just posted what he did, I'm just helping you guys on how to optimise this heandset. The ROM is still not finalised yet, I expect more from tj_style. Maybe we will get CyanogenMod and MIUI too as I see that he play around with it. But most importantly, if he can fix the lousy touchscreen it would be better. IMO that's the priority when modding this phone.

I flashed to RC2 now but I checked About Phone, the Android version is v2.3.4, there's no Andro-ID RC2 words on it?
Model number also has been changed from CSL Mi410 to FIH-FB0
AGPS download setting is also empty.
Value that can be use:
SUPL_HOST=supl.google.com
SUPL_PORT=7276

Installed Supercharger, seems no differences, gonna Advanced Task Killer as well.
Thanks.
