yeah, i'd noticed that too that this beast truly a batt killer when comes to GPS usage...and gosh the GPS locking was kinda slow too. Hopefully the custom rom can help abit on this part hahahahaa

I noticed that for the RC2 minor update, it takes more than 100mb O_o

installed RC1 n now RC2..

forgot to use CWM to backup apps n all LOLOLOL GG!

I am going to flash rc1 and rc2 very soon, the first page does not give the details of the preparatory works that needs to be done, namely:-

do a clean wipe with what software/program

backup with what software/program and which one come first, wipe first or backup first.

Read the tj_style andro-id site, it tells you what to flash it with. Clean wipe of course with CWM.

Backup is depends on what you want, read around on how to backup, you can either use Titanium backup to backup specific apps/games or the whole thing or you want to backup the entire ROM in CWM. You second question is absurd, of course you backup first, if you already wipe the phone clean what kind of thing you wanted to backup? Its already been stripped clean.

There is the option to 'backup and restore' and also 'wipe data/factory reset' in CWM

Anyhow enough rambling, here's the easy way:
1)Install Script Manager and download V8 supercharger script and put it in SDcard (not in folder)
2) Run Script Manager and select the V8 supercharger script, on the option select 'Run as root' and click 'Run'
3) On select scrolling speed click '1'
4) Next option use option '6' or any other if you fancy testing one by one
5) Next option select '16' to reboot.
6) Upon restart check back whether it is applied or not by running back Script Manager, if it not repeat

najmods my average free memory now is 150-180 d with go launcher eating up like 20+mb..keyboard also..n whatsapp in bground 11mb, maps n google services total up about 15..

Maybe, I got above 200MB most of the time, currently at 238MB with 5 process running (Maps, stock and RSS has been deleted)

help Najmods, how do I use CWM, I already installed CWM. Sorry....really new to this.. My phone is not rooted yet.
