Mine is taiwan punya. U want ori PM one of the forummers here. NEStum. Ori more than RM2k. Same to u DJ. Thts what I m telling u last time. Mine not ori. Tak mampu
hell no. i wont get the ori one. how much is ur rim? i plan to get down back to 15m but with rpf1 only.
Taiwan is rage nowadays.. Last time i go one shop selling regamasters,RGs,and RP01s with made in japan gila babeng 99% like original and quite light too. They only sell to regular customers.
The seller told me la it's cikai one.. Hahah..because i regular maaa.. He saw my rim then starts talk about rims.. Then after korek2 his secret,he told me la.. But he told me don't tell anyone about this.. So that he can markup the rim price.. And claim it's original japan.
As long it looks nice ok what.. In my case,i'm not sure la my rim nice or not on other people view.. But for me,i'm grateful la.. My car can go faster with this 13 inch rim than 15 inch.. Looks wise,u guys judge la..ngam or not with my satria botak?
Before I get this I ask around and search the price is also tht range. Madman enkei 16" also tht price range. Maybe u got rezeki to find cheaper. Kalo ada lubang jangan lupa share tau

But if no choice, that's the only option u have. Like me, i want to find that rim in 15. Whatever it takes, it will always rpf1. so what ever the price, i have to pay

amir, i think u have very good potential. probably ur driving on tight touge courses is severely hampered due to ur car's current rubber...go change those + some brake pads... i think i'll better give way to u.
As for those course with high speed corners (where braking and tyre grip will not be tortured)...u r freaking fast wei...slap some good rubbers on, u'll be king liao. no one have the balls to touch u wei...that clubsport + red satria pun kalah lo

damn, i wrongly spell hugo as huge. he looks like huge gangster though... tak tipu? well, it depends on how u define tipu. I think there's a clear cut he tipu-ed me. WHy? he said RM58 as advertised on mudah was without the hoses. if i want the hose, Rm68. I was telling him "u very good business man la. put the price there rm58 but never state without the hose. Of course people will need the hose ma".
He told me "u go look at the picture carefully, we got put the hose or not? Don't accuse me of unethical businessman".
I didn't have the picture at thtat time, so dont have firm ground. I said "sorry, dont take offence in a young man's word who never had proper education".

bro, search for Ah Kit in mudah. his shop is in sek24 shah alam. i went there last week. he had RPF1 (taiwan imitation) in 15" , pcd 114.3. price for rims ONLY is RM650. but only left in flat black colour. looks damn nice, only 4 holes unlike other taiwan fakes which have 8 holes. give him a call first to see if still in stock. btw, i've never purchased from him yet, so dunno the shop's reputation. but they are damn popular in mudah.
Spoke to the mech this afternoon....the rebuild is gonna cost abt 4-5k..lotsa things to be done with "uprated" parts...n the bulk of of the cost is gonna be from the new pistons

bought my imitation oz power 15" from him.. decent stock.. price wise ok.. service wise ok.. trade in price for stock rims is standard.. want higher trade in have to go to rawang..
the only thing bad from personal exp is the bangla who did alignment on my car after rim installing wants to charge additional rm30 per camber adjustment on top of the alignment charges which is crazy.. also hardened steel lock nuts x16 pieces charged at rm100.. abit expensive i know..
all in all, would still go back there.. the rim prices is competetive even against kedai papan cos last month went rim hunting with a friend.. started rim hunting @ kedai papan -> ahkit -> david.. finally found the rim he wanted at david's.. david's shop also in shah alam is another must go rim shop in shah alam..
zaphyer.. which hugo branch did u go to for that catch tank incident? actually the price is just a guide.. i frequent the kajang branch, the supervisor there knows me and he usually quotes me cheaper from the listed price.. i would check sometimes by asking the same question to his underlings and i was quoted a different higher price..
example.. sparco bumper spring lock + installation -> supervisor price rm40.. sparco bumper spring lock (brought my own) just need installation -> underlings quoted me rm50..

ive been browsing for a decent rm10k satrias last month...but come to none...even 4g91 priced slightly over rm10k wit poor cosmetic...4g91 perhaps around rm11-13k...but my frens car is in superb condition...nevertheless...the price is negotiable...so he might selling it cheaper than tat if the prospect buyer came up wif serius offer...
boys and girls... Banshee's final lap in SIC.....up to the kapow
some thoughts after track day....
the 550c brake pads im using are totally NOT suitable for SIC...definitely not for me... when the session started i went out... on the outlap i was actually cruising...wanted to warm up everything nicely (except the brakes coz i already knew they have a tendency to fade pretty fast...so i just did normal braking)... didnt even engage VTEC...reach the back straight then only i started flooring... 1 lap later.. i went into the pits coz the brakes has severely faded after only 3-4 corners...i repeat 3-4 corners....and when i went in...the brakes were smoking like hell already. and i mean REALLY smoking...let the smoke die off and i still decided to go out but had to brake much earlier than id like....and even then, i had to step on the brakes really hard... every time i stopped for a short break at the pits...the brakes would be smoking.. even when my engine blew and i stopped at the end of the start/finish straight, it was also smoking..and as u see in the video... i went all out for only 1 lap before the engine blew and yet the brakes were still smoking...
the pads are decently suitable for daily use....but definitely a huge no for track....they heat up way too fast and start fading way too fast... i cant really say much about the higher temp 800c range...
The pads are paired with APP brake hose and Motul DOT5.1 brake fluids.
ill be looking at other brands after this since i have full intentions of going to the track again.... perhaps EBC or Endless
id still buy these pads for my wife's kenari as its a daily use car and these pads are good and bite really well in that scenario... but for Banshee...ill be looking at something else (after the current ones wear off coz i pokai for the engine re-build hahahhaha)
heres a picture of my rotor after my engine blew... very the blue.....all in all i got roughly about total of 10 laps (not continuous) in SIC
as for the tires.. some of u may know that ive been b!tching about the sidewalls of the T1R being way too soft... and goddammit they are... grip was also pretty bad... i had to turn the steering a whole lot more coz of the massive understeer... the tires also felt like theyre about to be ripped out of the wheels... KU36 is the next target....and mebbe some wider 15" wheels... if only it was easy to find 15x8 +35 wheels here...

because over rev ?
motor sport is not cheap to play...
dunno the cause... i never revved pass 8.5k
damage can be cheap... but i went the expensive route coz i have plans to build up the block in the future so i thought might as well do it now since its open...
piston needs changing...
sleeve needs boring (0.5mm only)
some of the valves need grinding work
also my bearings were scratched, at last service the mech said the bearing makan already coz he saw the blue thingy in the engine oil...so doing that too...
im also getting the engine balanced

Hi Guys, need help from you guys. My friend wanna do a market research for after market car security equipment. Target: Accesories shops in Klang valley
Please recommend me some places have many accesories shop doing this.

do it! id take track over touge any day....more fun....safer... and can really go all out on a track as compared to touge on the streets....
QUOTE(yehlai @ Aug 2 2011, 09:56 PM)
what else you guys change after track day?
me n my friend... absolutely nothing... at most we empty out the boot for track day... we use the same tire and suspension (if adjustable, then adjust according to ur liking) and brakes etc etc for track day...our daily setup is practically our track setup oso.
though some people will actually have a 2nd set of rims with more track-suitable tires like semi slicks etc.

is it possible if too powderful brake system make lower arm koyak? just wondering if an old saga using 8 pot brembo..
A too powerful brake, if applied just like that, locking of the wheels and sliding, due to limitations in the tyres, no matter how expensive the tyres are... unless maybe F1 tyres.

agreed!
too much braking will throw u off balance. especially when braking into a corner!!!
and u cant simply jst dump in a 4-8pot caliper into ur car. there's quite alot to check on. whether the ABS works fine or not is one thing. u need to check if ur master brake pump cylinder is sufficient for the job or not.
u'll also need to relearn the method u brake and the pressure u applied on the brake pedal if your car doesnt have a ABS or with an ABS.
one of the pros of it ofcourse u have better braking and u can out brake opponents. another pros is that u need way less effort to brake.
also service the piston if u decided to upgrade. some old calipers; the piston might get jammed.
too much braking?? no such thing to me.. i dont believe theres such a thing as too much brakes...though there is such a thing as overkill i.e. kenari with 6pot brakes etc...but still its NEVER too much...
at the end of the day... its ur foot thats controlling the brake force.. so ull need to relearn and ur good to go..
not enough brakes... yes that i believe in and that sux.

Depends on whether your car has ABS or not or whether you can control the brakes like its your own feet. The purpose for more braking power is to let your car stop faster but there's always a limit as to how fast it can stop, slam the brakes, that stopping imediately, but the tyres loose grip and you glide on the road, yeah, like you said, you need to learn to control it.
again ABS is to let u steer the car with maximum brake force applied that otherwise will lock up your wheel...
there is more to that then just slamming a 1000 pot brakes into a car... and there is a reason why manufacturer put certain types of brakes into the car....
FD2-R has only 220NM++ torque but uses brembo 4 pot... mazda 3 MPS has 400NM of torque but uses a single pot... so go figure...
edit: sorry, i am very touch about this ABS/ESP thing from my previous discussion with noobs that dont know what is ABS/ESP/Hill climb assist that insist otherwise...

basically all the stuff from gsr, such as turbo kit , gsr ecu , wiring , air flow etc ... other thn that, u current 93 NA piston cant withstand boost more than 1 bar. maybe need to change the piston if u want to play high boost.
just my 2cents
ahh...thanks! anyway...can we just take engine kosong from 93T then bought what r u mention above? or do we need a halfcut to make it easier? or else...which is easier?

If you are lazy to find each part, just buy the BOT kit la for 4G93.

Amir, no need to think Just downshift as fast as possible can already
But..i cannot brain the part where right foot pijak brake with accelerate pedal.. What is the main point? To keep high RPM ah?

owh...ok! im asking becos i want to know from 1st hand experience...
heel n toe basically to maintain rev@ match engine speed with correct gear...its like u hard braking...then for sure ur engine speed also going low...by heel n toe-downshift...u get hi rpm after braking...that is wat from my understanding...

sometimes to BOT a non turbo will cost u more. if u dont intend to play high boost, u can just get a turbo kit from gsr and add in ems to adjust your afr to suit the turbo setup. it wont cost a lot but i think u wont get the same feeling like having a gsr. maybe u can get the 4g93t engine kosong.. might be easier.
just my opinion.. hopefully other sifu can give u a better suggestion
Rojak la tu.. Block : 4G93 1.8 Head : 4G92 MIVEC Wiring : 4G92 MIVEC + ECU or whatever ECU lah i'm not sure Stroke la bigger to 2.0cc..if can la..hehe.. pedro know la this rojak combination..right? even though maddriver kata hard to maintain.. still in my dream la this rojak.
good explaination by shinjite. yes 93t block got oil squiter and 93 not. other than that, 93t piston is low compression piston.. which is meant for turbo.

4g92 MIVEC block also got oil squirters. Even for block with no oil squirters, one can easily go make it (need clarification on this).
------ A stock GSR is only 180 bhp (lower whp) and it already cost some 10k++, to get the half-cut, transplant it in and other costs. Even this is without bothering about the condition of the half-cut.
A BOT on the other hand, you rebuild the engine, you rebore the block, you fit in new low compression pistons, you get the piping done, you buy a BRAND NEW turbo (not from halfcut, from halfcut also can la if you low on budget), you get a piggyback (or with more cash a standalone ECU) and you're off to go.
At the end of the day, I would do a BOT, due to the highly overpriced halfcuts of the 4g93/4g93t/4g92 MIVEC.
Added on August 5, 2011, 1:07 pmSo in conclusion, for cheaper price or same as the transplant, with BOT, you get to choose what you want, new parts, new turbo, new ECU, with the transplant, you use stock pistons, stock parts, sure you can rebuild everything even with the transplant, but expect doubling the whole bill.
Added on August 5, 2011, 1:11 pmFor a 10k BOT, I have these in mind
Garrett Ball Bearing turbos (f*ck you slow spooling stock turbo) custom piping Standalone ECU (Microtech, Haltech or whatever you want) CP/Wiseco forged pistons
Added on August 5, 2011, 1:15 pmSo with money, everything is possible (whichever way you want to go). With no money, nothing is possible.

take the campro BOT kit... RM10k... not including management iinm
yeah u get good power...brand new parts bla bla bla... but then...ur practically at ur limit...
transplant for 10k.. n u cikai cikai get roughly the same power... and u still have ALOT more room to go higher
i have a friend who used to have a 93T in his wira and he was pushing close to 280whp....now he's changed his 93T head to a MIVEC head to give him a nice and scary MIVEC 1.8 Turbo
Added on August 5, 2011, 1:47 pmoh yeah.... if i were to own an old satria...id transplant an EVO3 in and swap the block for a 4G67 (1.8)....just for registration purposes...
after registered.. stamp the 4g67 code on the 4g63 block.. and put the 2L back in.. and hentam kow kow.. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
why would i do this... mainly coz theres tonnes more performance parts for the 4g6x series than the 4g9x series...

1) With brand new performance parts, you get to the limit, but you DON'T GET ROUGHLY SAME POWER, YOU GET MUCH MORE. 1a) What do you mean at the limit? What limit? What do you mean transplant will give you ALOT more room to go higher? You think the 93t block is much tougher? Just because of the block? What stops me from just changing the block, then stuff in forged conrod, forged pistons? 2) Who is your friend? Is he a Chinese? My mech also runs that, but with Haltech E11x + Garreet Ball Bearing turbo. 3) Illegal loophole, not many are willing to do that.
With performance aftermarket parts, do you still think the limit of a 1.6 92p block (note the 1.6 here, not 1.8 yet) is only 180 whp (that of stock GSR)? It goes up much higher into the 2++.

Depend on what turbo is he using, I'm say at least easily 280 whp.
Added on August 5, 2011, 2:08 pmBut yeah, if transplant, then better get the 4g63 series, more parts to play with, or better the engine that's from the Supra (not for our cars la...), stock internal thats damn tahan!

Btw, I used to think of BOT day and night, until I realize a BOT is not cheap when its done properly. It's the cikai BOT that is cheap what will last you few days, then I decided I don't have the money for a proper BOT and I don't need few hundreds horsepower in my junk car.
Added on August 5, 2011, 2:28 pmAlso, how often can you use the 200 whp in Malaysia? KL is jammed with cars all the day, even in highway the time when you actually use 200 whp is only 1/10000 (note that for a 200 whp max hp car, you only get that at a certain engine RPM) of the time you're on the highway, on track you can only use it in the straights, but a track is not all about straights.
Only when you can drive like maddriver you need more than 150 whp. I don't drive as good as him.

lemme guess.... u talking about the 92p right? notice i mentioned campro...
as for my friend.. yes hes chinese... but what does race has to do with it? seriously... wat?
he did a BOT on his campro and yeah hes getting pretty impressive power... spent about 14k...but boosting about 0.6bar and cant go higher on his setup..
but for roughly the same amount... u get a higher displacement 1.8 93t... no replacement for displacement..and if ur willing... u can prlly get the 63t as well....and u can still increase the boost a lil bit without touching anything save for some a/f tuning.
for the campros to go higher... alot of work need to be done.. especially considering the sleeve on the campros are known to be so thin n fragile...
with a transplant... u already have a good strong base to begin with.
as for 92p... yeah.. u can go over 2xx....but putting that much power into the 92p will come at a high cost and worse of all u wont get the reliability of a stock engine...
and most 92 runners seeking for high horses end up with a 93 anyway.

1) If you're saying about the Campro, you have a very valid point there, but less so with the 4g9x series. 2) God knows how reliable is a transplant compared to a rebuilt engine. 3) We're not comparing 92 vs 93, we're comparing transplant vs BOT/rebuild.
1/ agreed...the 4G9x is a decent base to begin with especially considering the fact that there are alot of performance parts out there compared to the compro 2/ agreed but then during transplant all tests etc and warranty usually have so no real issues 3/ true... it was just a mention
but personally for me i wouldnt spend more than 5k for a BOT with USED parts...i just dont think its worth it
to me... the ONLY plus point of a BOT is that theres no need for JPJ. but then again..with a transplant.. usually workshop handles it unless u decide to do it yerself.

another question
if BOT need to rebuild...wat are the parts needed? becos in my understanding...transplant also need to rebuild
*money is not an object but need to consider total cost for both of cos before one to get it done...
rebuild = taking the engine apart.
BOT or transplants typically no rebuilding involved unless specifically requested.
a good example of rebuild is my current engine which has gone kapow!
goddamit...i miss my car so much...next week only pistons arriving... cant wait to run it in and tune it then feel the powah of a high comp 2L

For the turbo, for a nice streetable setup, I would fully utilise the TDO4 turbine Fast spooling and nicely use for the streets and pair it with a nice set of street camshaft
sleepwalker's old Satria GSR churned out 240whp with only the TD04

1.6 BOT can get that figure without the need for buying halfcut.

But the car itself is difficult to handle the power.. over 200 horse in a FF is kinda waste, it become berserk
I will play this small engine kaw2 until next upgrade. And next upgrade is not 4G9. And not FF. Its going to be chick magnet. Hahahaha daydreaming wei..cannot brain!

What's with the 1.8 block now? I thought you talking about 1.6 BOT
his point was instead of spending money on overpriced GSR halfcuts, it would be more cost saving to BOT the 4g92 to get similar results. adding the 93 block is to compensate for the drivability issues brought up
@ amir, where did you get the meter with rpm? from which model? sakai la my 1.3 dont have rev counter

My point is due to overpriced halfcut, I think it might sometimes be better to just get parts by parts or do a BOT. If halfcut were less demanded and cheaper here, then yeah, definitely go with half-cut. Yeah, my point is not 4g92 vs 4g93, instead, its about which path to go (transplant or BOT/rebuild).

U buy la any proton meter with RPM.. The problem with 1.3 carb is no RPM wire from the distributor. So what u have to do is,find any wireman to tap wire from the distributor to the meter socket. If urs is injection 2000 above don't worry.just plug and play.got wire already. Mine done by sinister_sid.u can PM him.upah wiring nego with him la.

road transport eg. car law/regulation aims to provide a safe framework for all car and road users. I presume that the reason why JPJ don't allow Neo to transplant 2 liter engine may be due to the fact that such modification may not be carried out properly and hence, pose a possible danger to other road users.
If you truly want to demand an answer, feel free to call up JPJ and ask them the same.

The part that your car require a full overhaul was meant to be a joke by Bernard, well, you ask shin why is that, it was first mahfuz's car that engine was koyak and needed an overhaul, man, you should see his face when Bernard was saying that, muahahaha! I have one problem need the help from you all. My engine bay always got some light metal hitting's sound, the sound is something like "jiz jiz jiz" , quite loud....but this only happens when:
1. I'm holding my throttle 3000RPM or above, holding. The sound can be heard as long as I'm holding the throttle.
2. When I foot down my throttle, it will "jiz" a while for less than a second.
3. When touge and hill climb, when I slowly foot down the throttle, the sound is quite loud also.
I suspect is something vibrating and cause the sound, the sound is just like jiz jiz jiz like that~~~something loosen? Please

RM35k? tat is gonna be under-insured, right? I wanna insure the car at the current market value coz if anything happen to my car (touch wood), insuring any higher amount will be wasted anw.
perhaps later i'll ask my uncle (who is in used car business) to ask. then i'll share with u guys.
!@#$ coz of the klawang incident, i lost close to 33% NCD
rm35k is not under insured actually...dun get me wrong...cos insurance will never cover total amount of sum insured...
tips... 1-never insured amount of ur current car value e.g : at january ur car valued at rm38k but come december become rm35k... if total lost...insurance company value ur car at current market price(based on trade-in price...not selling price) and the most u can get is almost 85% from current market price not from ur sum insured...

But.....knocking sound is like that one ah? It's not the valve tappet sound anyway. So if it is knocking sound, how can I solve this buzzing sound? It is really annoying, it is from the bearing or where? And yes, you're right, when i'm holding, the jiz jiz jiz sound come out, when I floor it, then it is gone, but when hill climb, even u floor down the throttle slowly also will get some of the sound.
Any idea how to solve this stupid sound?

I'm pretty sure from what you describe, it's knocking! I used to think it is some loose metal vibrating or electric static buzzling sound until I got to maddriver.
Ya, when you hold your pedal halfway, you get that, because that's how it works, when you floor the pedal, the A/F ratio is much richer than when you just cruising so the knocking sound goes off, it's the same as what I'm experiencing, exactly the same.
How to reduce this? Use higher RON petrol, or try reduce dynamic compression by retarding ignition timing a little but this will rob you performance.

To get that, just call your insurance company/agent.

Oh, so it's confirmed a knocking sound, ya i did Google and it can be reduced by using higher RON petrol. And if i just ignore it, will it be any problem? And beside upgrade to 97 petrol, any other ways to settle it?

AceCombat, Come la trade ur engine with me.. Mine tarak knocking mia.. Heheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Lower your ignition timing if not, use octane boosters with 95
I'm a Satria Neo 1.6 Owner. Just asking some advice cause its time for me to change my tires, and confused on what tires should i put on. Sticking with 195/55/15. Need some recommendation?
Didn't expect will have to answer that, but just normal driver who don't speed in the city but highways is different. i hope you get the picture. Prefer bally tires good on wet and dry road, and not too noisy.

PS3 is good in wet and dry. Well, actually if you're a normal driver and only drive at higher speed (not extreme speed >180km/h), i'd say CC5 would be decent enough
