My best answer for you is go to Sunway Hospital and have the diagnostic check up. It should be cheaper or you can go to University Hospital for check but it takes a lot of visit . just be patient. Price wise.... there are many brands out there and RM4K to 9K for the machine. RESMED is No1 Machine .

Somno guard not so good if u have jaw problem or your teeth gums already decay.

Thanks for the reply. Have you personally tried any of the snoring aid? Mind to share what you did to overcome your snoring problem?

Sunway hospital gonna cost a bomb. Someone actually suggested to go to UMMC seek help from Dr. Liam.

im using Resmed but i have posted some where b4. very tiring to repeat all over again.
there's no really right answer. it's all in your own budget just like i recommend u sunway and u said it cost a bomb. the route is simple, the best always cost more. not to be sarcastic but this is how the way it is. in the end, it's your health, go for the best , no regret.

i like to find out if any of you have use this product before ? does it help or any discomfort while sleeping?

I've been using this product two months and it really works in terms of eliminating snoring. However I've experienced some discomfort using it. Then I've found better solution, at least more suitable for me: http://snoringprevention.net/ It is very simple, comfortable to use and it is amazingly effective for my snoring and sleep apnea problems.

A very effective and comfortable option for both snoring and sleep apnea is to use a thermoplastic device customized for your bite, breathing habits and jaw movements like the Ultimate Stop Snoring Solution. The set of 3 mouthpieces gradually advance the lower jaw to find the most effective position to move the tongue away from the soft palate and back of the throat to open the airway and stop loud snoring. These devices can be trimmed and molded to fit any size or shape of mouth but at a fraction of the cost of a dentist-made device can be found at http://www.ultimatestopsnoringsolution.com/how.html

I have been diagnosed with snoring and mild sleep apnea. I try to sleep on my side but I often end up on my back and I think that’s when I snore.I have never been overweight and I quit smoking about 7 months ago. I tried CPAP – forget about it. I recently found a anti-snoring device that is working good for me. The most important is that it is comfortable to sleep with.

I was diagnosed moderate obstructive sleep apnea two years ago, and i am using somnodent AP Pro, which is custom made oral device. Effective and comfortable, wife no complaint of loud snoring since i wore this appliance. And i wake up fresh everyday. My advice, find a good sleep apnea dentist to do this, i went through several adjustment and finally engaged with the correct protrusion of lower jaw, i cant sleep well without the oral device now. A properly trained sleep apnea dentist will refer you for sleep test for diagnosis first, as my dentist told me that oral device can only treat obstructive sleep apnea, not the central sleep apnea. She referred me to government hospital, but private wing, more affordable, and fast, around rm400 that time. Then she explained to me my sleep test results, took mould for the oral device, surprisingly it is comfy. After the adjustment i wore it for two months then went for follow up sleep test, and my sleep apnea index improved. So my advice, get a well trained sleep dentist if you really want an oral appliances.

I swear by this one, and they are currently running a buy one get one free offer ($80 USD): Good Bye Snore. I have apnea, but no insurance. I can't afford a CPAP. This has stopped my snoring almost completely, and I feel much more rested than I used to. I wouldn't suggest this as a replacement for sleep testing and a CPAP, but if you are in my shoes it is definitely a viable option. The best part, so far as I can see, is that it not only stops the snoring, but it also retrains your jaw so as to eliminate part of the cause of the problem. The site I linked two has the study information posted, along with several other informative articles.

Well this is a speciality of mine! There are quite a few options been put forward in this thread....some good & some very poor.....alas, there are so many solutions on the market that in can be very overwhelming! I know, I have been there!!....& as a woman it's not a great affliction to have!

The key is moving the jaw & in some cases the tongue forward, this opens up the airway far more when you sleep & pretty much eliminates snoring....some of the solutions on here involve putting the devices in hot water & moulding them to your teeth.....this is okay if you have a 'big bite' & very profound teeth...but I don't & they were just a waste of money!

There are 2 solutions that I can recommend as I use both. One is jaw related & the other tongue. I alternate between them both.....the reason being that the jaw one can get uncomfortable after a few nights (this is usual I am afraid but does get better over time).

I got so involved in this that I have set up a couple of websites about them (websites are what I do) & was getting fed up with seeing people waste their time & money on stuff that just doesn't work.

One of them I imagine nobody has come across, they don't really advertise & they are a little UK based Co.....they have their device in all the UK NHS Sleep clinics they are that good! I have been using them for years & said I would help them promote it....so they have given me my own landing page & exclusive offer page - SleepingDen.com. You won't find them anywhere else. They are just getting to grips with shipping worldwide so if you have any issues pls PM me & I can look into it for you.

The other one is the tongue based solution, the web address is in my signature.

Both work & I use them both. Please feel free to contact me with any questions as I consider myself a wealth of knowledge & have personally made it my mission to get people the solutions that work & avoid wasting money like I did! biggrin.gif
