u can use uot kitchen to customize also UOT .. u need to download the framework file from ARHD if u wan to upload manually .. or just choose from their kitchen list

disclaimer first...i am a noobie as far as custom roms and all are..using my DHD as guinea pig for testing..

if it doesn't work for you.. i can't help much either...cuz i'm learning this too as i go along..

anyway..i wanted to change my bootanimation...and today i was successful..

i finally managed to change default white HTC boot animation on my DHD running virtuous unity 1.31.0 to something else.do a search on google and you'll find many bootanimation examples, i had to try a few as some just didn't work.

here's what i did...after reading from a bunch of sites online...

1. perform a nandroid backup using CWM..just in case..once done..boot phone as normal
2. Connect the USB cable and mount the phone as disk drive
3. copy my nandroid backup to my laptop...to keep a second copy.
4. rename the animation downloaded from the net as bootanimation.zip
5. copy the animation from laptop to the phone's sd card ..anywhere..easy to find.
6. Download "Root Explorer" from the android market...this is a paid app btw
7. Copy the original bootanimation.zip from /system/customize/resource to sd card....just in case i want it back
8. Using root explorer mount /system/customize/resource as rw
9. Copy the new bootanimation.zip and paste it in /system/customise/resource
10. it will overwite the original one
11. set permission on the new bootanimation.zip as owner= read&write , group=read, other=read
12. Using root explorer mount /system/customize/resource as ro
13. reboot phone

that's it and you should now see your new bootanimation.

now..does anyone know how to change the shutdown animation?..

edited 2nd time..well i tried the steps..something is missing or i'm doing it wrong....didn't work for me on the downanimation so replaced it back with the original htc downanimation.

how to get font changer apps font?

yo.. updated to the latest ARHD 5.2.6 .. having a weird issue..
my licenses and content in HTC Locations has all error in Navigation, Maps, and Voices.. any ideas?

mine working find .. hrmm wipe the cache for location?

Of course it does effect battery life..

urm .. go to phone setting -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All tab -> Locations -> clear data/cache ... u might need to reconfigure (re download license etc) tho
