how do i link my contacts in MIUI? right now have three different contacts for the same person (1 email, 1 facebook and 1 phone).

Open contact. Select which person you want to merge.



After tap the person, click Menu and press edit.



After tap edit, tap menu and tap Join. Then find the account you want to merge.

But very troublesome to merge, need to do 1 by 1. Not like Sense, auto merge and can select all duplicate contacts.

agreed... but the interface is simpler and clean... love it more than sense in that sense... lol... but i do love sense lockscreen... hmmm...

But but.. MIUI also got Sense lockscreen. Find it in Theme Manager.

not really sense 3.5 lockscreen... but continuing my search...
anyway toggle2G is really great! auto shut off 3g to 2g after some time to save batt juice! that means whatsapp and push email can still work while not needlessly using your 3g juice sucking connection! yay!

Yeah, just Sense 3.5 lockscreen lookalike. Btw I'm using SGS2 puzzle lockscreen. Nice also.

Some said (@XDA) toggle2G got issue, I also donno what issue. Maybe sometime it's doesn't switch to 2G automatically. But that feature is great.

Basically kernel is created using Linux. You can describe kernel as a driver for your phone. It stores wifi driver, display driver, camera, audio and so on.. Let just say Android is a car, then kernel is the driver.

Check in "about phone", what kernel a user (<--- dev) use.. I guess it should be LordMod kernel but I'm not sure which version. No need changing kernel also fine already.

1) should I leave Auto Rotation on or not for better battery life? Does it use lots of battery?


2) and if I flash radio, do I need to flash the RIL also?

1) If you like it, just enable it or vice versa. Battery affect not much.

2) If using Sense, yes. You need to flash combo (radio+RIL). If AOSP, you can change radio but just don't bother about RIL. AOSP using G-RIL, different from Sense build.

usually wat i do before i full wipe from sense (lots of duplicates - whats app, facebook, etc) to a non-sense rom is i import all my contacts to google mail. then from google mail web interface can choose merge all duplicates. after flashing let google mail auto sync back to phone - voila - no more duplicates jz wanna share.

at least to add the statement that those using sense must flash ril also.

I dont know if the RIL i flashed went in or not.

i type getprop "gsm.version.ril-impl" in terminal emulator and I get HTC-RIL 2.2.0179HM (Aug 17 2011, 15:24:58)

any way to check the current radio and ril installed in the phone?
