may i know why OCBC Titanium is still being preferred over Hong Leong Bank Wise?
*
Hong leong bank wise card is preferred if you have min 10x with min RM50. 10% cash back compare to titanium is only 1-5% Max cash back

1. Annual Income: ...

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: Petrol, Cash Back/Rebate, Overseas Transactions, Online Shopping & bill payments, General retail shopping, Dining out, Government Assessments and other bills.

4. Existing credit cards if any: UOB One, MBF, Giant Citi, CIMB Master World

5. Looking at CC from: Maybank 2 Cards

6. Others: Just want some opinions. Looking at using the card to pay bills online via M2U. Also want pay my card using M2U instead of banking in cheques to the other banks, since my main accounts are with MBB. Also thinking of cancelling the UOB one card and getting this 2 cards for petrol, rebate and collect points at the same time. Any suggestions on should I get Maybank2 cards or consider OCBC Titanium?

Get both. smile.gif
Maybank2Card is basically useful for AmEx only. As it gives 5x treat points 24/7 and 5% rebates only during weekends. The VISA/Master Card is basically not useful most of the time.
So, OCBC Ti is useful to complement the absence of VISA/MasterCard which is widely accepted compared to AmEx.

Agree with fruitie - main use for AMEX.

if you refuel at petronas, then go for the Maybank Petronas card.

and the 2 cards have a combined credit limit.

i personally think maybank cards are good for their treat points.

Do You have EPF's Contribution...???
If Not it will be very Hard to Apply Credit Card with Salary Slips Only Furthermore Without Bank Statement coz Lack of Income Proof Documentation
FYI, Currently Most of Bank Refer to Your EPF 's Contrubution (at least RM 220 = RM2000)1st for Your Credit Card Apps... sweat.gif

Anyway, U Need a CC for Easy Payment Plan so far... Citibank Card are Best with Flexible tenures available from 6 Up to 36 months:
i) Easy Pay 0% Installment Plan, http://www.citibank.com.my/english/existin...ode=MYCCLNCBEP-
ii) FlexiPayment Plan, http://www.citibank.com.my/english/existin...ode=MYECMWAB6LM

All the Bank will Decline Your Apps due to the Reason of Your Stability, Reputation & Duration of Your Employment/ Business furthermore without Malaysian Income Proof Document (e.g EPF) coz Working in Overseas...

But Anyway, Can Try Using FD to Pledge for Credit Card by Signing Up a Private Banking (Account) Services from Foreign Banks: Citibank, HSBC, SCB... in Malaysia maybe they can Issue Malaysian Credit Card for You coz they having Global Banking Services.... blink.gif

So at the moment, Maybank2Card and OCBC Ti still the best rebate card in the market now? hmm.gif

Thanks for the suggestion. smile.gif
I'll look into OCBC Ti to see what type of promotions they usually have. The 5% rebate for OCBC Ti is also for all spendings right?

Thanks. I don't fuel at petronas unless really necessary so don't think I'll get the Petronas card.
Not very concern on the combined credit limit either as I have other cards with more than enough credit limit for me if I really need to swipe a large amount.

What do you normally redeem with their treat points? Does Maybank has cash back like CIMB? Since there is an expiry on the points, can't just accumulate without spending. laugh.gif

No. 5% only for groceries, utilities bill, petrol and dining.
The rest is 1%.
There's a dedicated thread for OCBC Ti in this section, please check out out.
I'm on mobile now, so it's a bit inconvenient to paste you the link.

Hi guys,

Would be thankful for your kind suggestions. Basically I travel overseas most of the time. Unfortunately my basic salary only entitles me to RM10k limit by Maybank 2 card even after applying for credit limit increment for 2 times.

I would need a higher limit CC and provides more treat points on hotel payments.

1. Annual Income: RM50k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must.

3. Card required for: Mostly for overseas hotel use.

4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybank 2 card

5. Looking at CC from: Please suggest.

6. Others: Estimate to spend about RM10k/mth on overseas hotel. Flight tickets are bought by company. Would prefer a card which could give me the most benefit in terms of points.

Thanks in advance!

side track a little, does your company gives you AMEX charge card? it's quite taxing for the employee to spend that much a month without a company charge card.

erm... their stuff for redemption are quite ok. my mom redeemed rice cooker, luggage bag, watches before. i've only redeemed smart tag laugh.gif

the expiry of points is after 3 years. im sure you'll have enough points by them to redeem something smile.gif

I see. Thanks thanks! Have already send in application for OCBC Titanium yesterday during PC fair and went to Maybank today to get the forms for Maybank2 Cards. tongue.gif
