QUOTE(stormaker @ Jul 26 2011, 01:06 PM) I use 3M Crystaline ... parked my car from 8am to 12pm, at noon time, when get into my car its not toasting or burning hot ... eventhough everything leather, cool down also very fast, n dont even need to open all the doors/windows to cool it down. 3M 70 has 50% tser and Vkool 54% tser. Almost similar. Trying parking from 12pm to 4pm......sure very hot on steering, but won't burn like without tint."Total is RM1800 with 5 years warranty against defect n JPJ summon". If go puspakom sure fail wan coz its default VLT already 68%. This post has been edited by Cavino: Jul 26 2011, 02:03 PM |

Tesco got sell 5-40? Why you want to use fully to service at 5K? Isn't suppose to be semi? Last week I saw 0W-40 and Magnatec 10W-40 Semi only at Shah Alam. Reading me makes me doubt Castrol Magnatec..
"In the additive package used in the manufacturing of lubricants, they have 2 main functions. They are 1. detergent package and 2. dispersant package. The additive in 1 is supposed to clean up all the "rubbish" like acids, carbon, rusts, water vapour generated from the combustion. Dispersant package is to disperse all the "rubbish" in the oil so that they are equally and completely disperse throughout/inside the oil. These "rubbish" if not disperse may clog or stick to the moving parts inside the engine. Also they may not be totally drained out during changing of the engine oil. Many people have a misconception if the engine oil drained out during the oil change is very black or dirty, the oil is not so good. Actually, the reverse is true. A good engine oil with good additive package will clear as much "rubbish" inside the engine during the oil change." except taken from a supposedly ex-Castrol oil man in autoworld forum. |

QUOTE(ngeo88 @ Jul 26 2011, 03:00 PM) ya but that is 0W-40 , 0W is not too good for our local engine, it is too thin during cold start more friction to engine parts, if we need our engine long lasting use at least 5W, 0W is mainly for sport performance. Actually, 0W is for winter use which is below freezing temperature while 40 is for SAE 40 grade oil which is thinner than SAE 50 grade (recommended in the manual)This type of oil (eg 0W-40, 5W-40 and 10W-40) is called multi grade oil which can be used in cold and hot temperature. Actually, 0W-40, 5W-40 and 10W-40 have the same viscosity during our cold start engine in Malaysia. So no problem for our engine because all the above are SAE 40 grade engine oil. First off, congrats on v21!
Secondly, do you think installing fuel regulators will further improve the car's performance? Or do the exhaust piping first? My Persona is the 1st gen Persona. Model 2007, B-Line, MT What I have done so far: 1. HotBits 4-2-1 extractor & midbox with dunno what brand s-flow muffler 2. K&N Open Pod Air Filter injection kit (changed this from Works Engineering drop in) 3. Ultra Racing Front Strut Bar (3 Point) & Anti Roll Bar 4. Aerospeed LCP & Spark Plug Cable 5. Denso Iridium Spark Plugs |

QUOTE(Cavino @ Jul 26 2011, 02:45 PM) Reading me makes me doubt Castrol Magnatec.. i Thnik one of our member post this here last month and it get some of our memeber here fr** that......."In the additive package used in the manufacturing of lubricants, they have 2 main functions. Engine oil main function is lubricate the engine high speed moving parts instead of CLEANING function. When the engine turn black it measn the original oil molecule has change and it will not able to act as lube to protect the engine parts any more. Exp: go to see your kitchien wok if the wok not was properly the cooking oil will become black and stick at the bottom. 2. When drain our engine oil if it seen in very black colour it means it the oil it self are seriously in poor quality or the engine is aging, els it must be engine failure and cause it over heat and create carbon. THINK THAT: If our car are new and nothing wrong to our engine why our drained engine oil should seen in very dark black colour? 3. If the drain engine oil are look very dark black it said to clean rubbish from engine is true. THEN: when our car has black smoke came out also the engine running self cleaning to exhaust out the rubbish from our engine is it true.....
