any graduates from business and commerce here? im looking for some help in selecting electives!
or any 1 could recommend any electives? am lookin for units preferably easy and score-able to pull my average >< thanks!

I heard that islamic banking and e-business are relatively easy. marketing units seem to have easy finals but time consuming/hard assignments according to some of my friends.

Just finished this sem. According to my seniors ,they prefer to take units that are available in the Bcom course as elective so that you can have a broader knowledge of our course. The last decision is still up to you.

I was from Comp Sci, and have done electives from biz&comm. pretty interesting to do some cross discipline subjects.

I won't exactly recommend just doing subjects that's easier to score, but prefer to do subjects that's more useful. some recommended 1st year subjects:
- management
- business law
- accounting

If you're looking for something easy to score, the e-commerce subjects are dead easy, but I personally think they're a waste of money

From the description, it does sound like one of the 1st year ecommerce subjects. and yes, it would be a rather easy subject, so the question to ask yourself is, is it worth paying for that subject.

Guys, im just wondering about something.

Cos, i'm taking a loan that basically pays per-year instead of per-sem.

but if im considering a transfer, and say i paid for year 2, but im transferring out of monash at the end of sem 1 year 2. Will the funds i paid for sem 2 year 2 be refunded?

Also, i'm considering transferring to another Monash campus, how hard would it be to apply/be accepted for a transfer?

You may request for Finance Dept for refund.

Transfer wise is pretty easy. As long as you meet the minimum requirement for transfer, it should be a problem.

Anyone here have any idea whats up with the futsal and basketball courts? Been ages and they've kept the courts locked up despite it being completed. Have half a mind to start a petition... tongue.gif

Also, whats with the computers in the library, i dont mind that they have a shitload of laptops to lend out, but its soooo inconvenient compared to the pc's, especially for printing, and not to mention the fine every hours....... so much for internationnal standards...

I think for the futsal/basketball court situation, you should be able to get an answer from the Welfare Office at the MUSA lounge? Since i think they are sort of in charge of the courts and all?

can agree on the PC thing, not sure why though. maybe we'll get new PCs. it would have been better if they did it during the break. the new ultrabooks are nice though!
